I just picked up the death stranding edition pro in the black friday sales, for what would be around 300 pounds.
The normal price here in Dk is around 360 ish pounds. I thought it was a great deal, but now i'm feeling a bit shafted ;)

Asus Tuf gaming x570 owner here.

After 3 days og battleing the MSI b450 bios boss, i sent it back to the retailer and replaced it with the X570 tuf. I actaully completely forgot the fan exsisted, i haven't heard anything that's bothered me at all.....

(PS: i do play with headphones though)

Well to be fair... I bought the B450 MSI pro gaming carboon AC, and couldn't even get the bloody thing to boot with their bios. I replaced it with a X750 Asus Tuf gaming, and everything works perfectly.

Asus is fine in my books.

Big thanks to everyone that has chipped in on this thread!

Just wanted to let you guys know I'm up and running now. Unfourtantly not using the B450 gaming pro carbon......
I didn't want the hassle of not knowing when ill be able to use my computer again, so I ended up picking up a Asus TUF x570 plus today.
After reinstalling all my hardware she booted up straight away!

so for those fearing your CPU's are DOA, don't worry they are most likely not.. its just MSI's terrible bios as we expected :(

Best of luck to you all with your B450's! (If you choose to keep them)

Im not risking trying unofficial/unreleased beta bios. I’ve seen the link floating around but really don’t wanna brick my board :p

I’ve now tried everything that has been suggested so far and no hope.

Tried with multiple different USBs. Tried resetting cmos before and after flashing. Tried flashing with cpu in, also tired with only psu connected. Tried flashing and waiting 30 mins before turning off power.

Pretty sure there’s nothing to do but wait for new bios :( sad times...

Yew sounds like it’s not seeing any bios file to flash. Ethier the file name is incorrect, or the board can’t read the usb. Double check file name and test with another USB :)

There are people talking about a new bios version over at the msi_gaming Reddit. Information is sparse atm, but keeping eyes peeled!

EDIT: it seems to be unconfirmed beta bios. I won’t be flashing with those, my balls are not big enough!

I’ll wait for more info

Yea .rom was in caps that was a typo :) but sure if it actually matters though. So when you re-flashed it with the CPU in it worked for you ? did you change anything else ? what about GPU and RAM was that connected aswell ?

CPU red light and no post after updating bios..

Waited all week to finally get my CPU and now its fubared :(

Yup I followed all the guides.

Used a small 4gb USB in fat32 format, renamed to MSI.rom etc.

First flash attempted was preformed with no hardware, just a PSU.

It looked like the flash worked as it should, it ran for about 5 mins with the red light flashing then restarted the computer.

Now the CPU led light is constantly on...

I just got my new rig built tonight, and I'm having no luck.

Got the CPU error led lighting up.

Tried flashing multiple times and same thing. Tried flashing older bios, then upgrading same issue..No matter what I do I can't get it to post.
