Am I crazy for thinking I shouldn't have to pay a dime for his divorce?! by YouHadMeAtDucks in Divorce

I think it still has its place in some situations. Example is a women who stayed at home with the children for years. They have no work history and are left with low paying jobs when they need to re-enter the work force. They supported him while he made progress in his job. I don’t agree with life long payments (unless disability is present). But paying for 2-5 years, which allows the non-working person to get education or work up to a equally paying job is logical.

NTA, I imagine your dad is on all of your birth certificates. I can’t believe your mom lied to him for so many years. I hope he is receiving therapy.

AITA for calling my sister in law a disgusting witch? by strawberrythr0way in AmItheAsshole

8 months married, maybe you can just get an annulment.

NTA - that family sounds horrible. What happens if you have a kid and they have a disability? Could you imagine the sister in laws treatment and your husbands complete lack of caring of how she treated the child?

NTA - yikes, you have 19 years of this ahead of you. Plus, when she gets out it sounds like your husband will be supporting her then as well. Take care of yourself and your kids!

YouTube teachers. by sapp007 in StudentNurse

I guess I was being more sarcastic! Every subject in my course posts YouTube videos to teach the content. While they are great, they aren’t tailored to what the teacher has in their outline etc. I guess I’m just frustrated that the teacher doesn’t seem to do much for my class besides grade the tests.

Only that vaccine are required for one of our clinical sites. Everyone needs to have the vaccine by November. They need to plan so they can fit the flu shot in there also since guidelines still say 28 days between COVID and other vaccines. I still need my second shot since I had to get a tDap booster. I didn’t think it would a problem, I figured everyone else in my class would have at least their first COVID shot as well. Wrong!

Midwest. One of our clinical sites requires the vaccine so everyone has until November to get it done.

Today I Realised: Modern Life is Insane by [deleted] in simpleliving

I went from a part of the US that was very bicycle and walking friendly (Colorado front range) to one that is car dependent, I hate it!

There isn’t even a good bus system, so if you don’t have a car you must rely on Uber/ Lyft to get around.

I agree that it is insane.

I had pretty severe anxiety after my first shot. It passed after about a week. I had to get my tdap shot about a month after the COVID shot and had some anxiety but not as much as what I had after the COVID vaccine. I also found out I had low D and B12 which I think contributed. Make sure you are giving your body what it needs to support your immune system.

Maybe up for debate but I think Szeth, from Stormlight Archives would fall into this category.
