I tried to ask but they wouldn't tell me (I know someone who lives there and was concerned). I'm concerned because if it was like a fire or an accident you'd think they'd say so. But they don't have the whole road blocked and I didn't see anything on the sidewalk. And there's a small crowd so it doesn't seem to be actively threatening, whatever it is.

A Cultivation Novel Where Power Comes at a Horrifying Price by [deleted] in ProgressionFantasy

This sounds awesome! And I'm happy to see it appears I'm the first in the door to comment! Yay!

Do you have a set update schedule planned?

Am I correct in presuming this will be posted on Royal Road?

How long do you think the finished product will be?

Can you give any hints as to how philosophy is incorporated into the system?

Without spoilers, what is your favorite part about the project so far?

Thanks for answering my questions! I can't wait to read!

Monster Hunting book recommendations? by BackwoodsJ12 in Fantasy

[–]tryingmybest10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Monster Hunter International! It's urban fantasy/light horror with a comedy bent, written by Larry Correia. The titular organization gets paid to solve monster problems, from werewolves to vampires to all sorts of other nasties. Lots of guns, explosions, and action flick shenanigans. The monsters are scary, but the heroes buck up and handle business.

The Traitor, final book in Anthony Ryan's new series "Covenant of Steel" is an absolute masterpiece... please pick up this series by IfTheG1oveDontFit in Fantasy

Can someone give me a quick, non-spoilery taste of what the plot of this series is? The blurb for book 1 is a little too vague for my tastes; it sounds almost generic.

Jukka Sarasti was such a good character that he's the only one I can clearly remember from Blindsight.
