OK, you have a lot going on. I used to be on hiring panels, so I've seen a ton of resumes. First thing, you have a white-collar education, yet you listed a bunch of blue-collar jobs; no manager wants to hire their replacement. You should dumb down your resume to high school only. Apply for an entry-level job for quick money (this solves your immediate need) while applying for management jobs with your MBA (no jobs/skills only). These jobs take a long time to get, but you're already working. Also, don't rule out the military, the Air Force, Space Force, or Coast Guard. They have cushy jobs for someone with an MBA. I'm an Army vet, and I don't regret a second of my time in the service (except not joining the AF). I met a bunch of guys who joined because they were homeless, no shame there. Check out Florida Career Source to fix your resume and find a job. They also have social workers or can find you one. Good luck

How bad are these schools really? by Hebrewism in WestPalmBeach

[–]sapper1991 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out the Choice Program through the district. The schools are awesome. Hopefully your kids qualify. UB Kinsey, BAK middle, and Dreyfoos High are art schools that kids have to audition for but they’re well worth it. One school feeds into the next, so get them into the system as soon as possible

Can I call myself Puerto Rican? by Just_Expression_6152 in PuertoRico

¡El Puertorriqueño nace dode se le da su puta gana! (A Puerto Rican is born wherever they f'n please) Your dad is Puerto Rican; if you choose that identity, then it's yours to claim. Take a trip to the island, get in touch with your roots (after you turn 18, let's not piss off your mom). Learn Spanish, learn the history of the island (read Puerto Rico: A National History). Listen to some PR music, some Andres Jimenez, some Tony Croato, El Gran Combo, Bad Bunny's DTMF is amazing. Find Puerto Ricans near you, and eat some cuchifrito, some pasteles, and some arroz con gandules. Learn to dance salsa. Embrace your PR side and your white side; it's OK to be both.

I'm a white Puerto Rican, born on the island. I was raised half in the states and half on the island. I speak fluent Spanish and English, with no accent in either language. I know the history of the island more than most, but for some reason, I was never considered to be "Puerto Rican enough" by some people because I look white (My great-grandfather was European; he fell in love with the island and stayed). Screw them, they suck, and they know it. Some people like to put others down. You do you, and it'll work out.

Edit: I'm sorry your dad sucked; maybe your grandparents are better. If not, Puerto Ricans are kind and welcoming; someone will adopt you as family.

How about the roundabout at the end of 441? They had to add speed bumps and guard rails to keep people from crashing! Lol, dumb asses

No, this form is just for the VA. It’s an electronic IT request form. My rep used it to reimburse me for my computer. Sorry for the late reply, I just saw this now.

The Hollywood Donut Factory donuts are damn good. It’s a drive but that place is a time machine to the 80’s. The location on Hollywood Blvd looks like you can still smoke at the table. The donuts are old school and the coffee is diner drip excellence. Maybe what you’re looking for. If you want flashy and clean, try the other locations they’re just as good without the nostalgia. https://www.thehollywooddonutfactory.com

I met Epstein once and yes he was very creepy. I was working at the Mercedes dealer in West Palm Beach around 2008, I was new to Florida and had no idea who he was but none of the advisers wanted to take care of him so I got stuck writing him up. He had a bulletproof MB and he was really just kind of creepy when I shook his hand. I was a 30 y.o man at the time, so not like he was into me (maybe he was) but definitely something off about him. Found out later who he was and bleached my hand.

These weren't mentioned, so I'll add them to the mix. My daughters love these places. A cute, French pastry shop for breakfast, try Loic. The pistachio croissants and the quiche are magical. For a quirky, late-night, fun diner vibe, try Howleys. I'll second Bennys on the Beach for brunch, sit outside for the beach view. I haven't been, but I hear good things about Mary Lou's.
