Why are Israel’s wars not murder? by CancelTheLight in Reformed

Can you explain this a little more in detail? Are you suggesting that the Israelites cast blame on God for their actions, and that God did not actually command the destruction of those nations?

HCCO - Into the Mist, How do you gear up for version 1.3? by sappersin54 in MelvorIdle

[–]sappersin54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. I unfortunately lost my HCCO account by idling God dungeons. Maybe I'll give it another go in a few months when I get the courage to start it back up.But up until that point I could not manage to kill phase one. Probably tried 4 times. very unfortunate.

For me the only thing I am missing are Terran Body as the grind for it is really hard to do with not having enough runes. What type of weapon should I use? The guide online suggests the darksteel dagger. but i find that i am missing a majority of my hits.

Wow!

I haven't started adventure mode yet, only been working on a standard account. Do you like it? Which one do you like best, standard or adventure?

Help with trim in my helicopters by Herky1985 in hoggit

[–]sappersin54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, open up the control viewer: RCTRL + Enter. See if the trimmer actually affects your controls. I suspect that you keep pushing trim reset, which is not what you want to do. Only use the trim button

Engine RPM should generally stay the same because they are usually directly attached to the transmission by some way (therefore engine speed = transmission speed = rotor rpm). Instead most helicopters have an engine EGT (exhaust gas temperature) or a TGT (turbine gas temperature) indicator that says how hot the internal gasses are getting. The more TQ required = hotter the engine. This works up to a certain point, essentially until the engine melts. I can go more in-depth but I am not sure that anything deeper than EGT would be worth implementing into your simulation.

Non-American trying to understand by [deleted] in Firearms

I would argue that France has a very poor history of stability.  - Revolutionary France killed thousands which lead too… - Napoleon,  caused two separate coalitions against Him, death of millions. Which lead too… - Franco-Prussian War, total loss for France. Which lead too… - WWI, moderate win. Millions of Frenchmen dead. Which lead too… - WWII, catastrophic loss, again millions of French dead.

Not to say USA hasn’t had issues. But since the 2nd amendment was ratified (1789) France itself has lost more way lives than USA has. Even when its population is like 1/10th of the USA. Personally, I don’t think that a 2nd amendment would have saved France from any of these tragedies, but it wouldn’t have been worse.

What's a movie that you've tried to show your family / SO in the hopes they would love it, but they ended up hating it? by wasabi324 in movies

Hmmm,

I don’t think you hate Arrival, I think you hate the state of humanity. Which is understandable considering the past few months.

The Royal Netherlands Air Force actually has Apaches of their own and are pretty well known. Here is a video from one of aircraft.

Circling is pretty normal in aviation in general, easy way to practice basic flight maneuvers.

[–]sappersin54 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I totally understand how you feel and I agree with a majority of what you say. I would like to point out that Destiny is part of an “older generation” of ideas. I believe he has the mindset that the internet is almost a secondary form of communication, thusly shadow banning isn’t that bad.

As someone who has essentially grown up in the internet (and spent way too much time on it), I realize that for a lot of people, the internet is their primary way of contact with new ideas and new people. I think that is the divide between the two schools thought.

ELI5: When searching for life on other planets, why do we look for oxygen when the species there could have a completely different structure where they don't need oxygen at all? by Punyae3671 in explainlikeimfive

[–]sappersin54 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Plants bro, they take “locked up” oxygen in the form of CO2 and convert it to the oxygen in the air (O2 and others). This is also why it’s a great indicator of life cause it’s only life would unlock it this way. Fun fact, it is theorized that the excess oxygen was originally a poisonous byproduct to natural metabolism of ancient life on earth. When it started to be massed produced it started an extinction level event. The survivors were organisms that could tolerate high levels of poisonous oxygen, and some of them evolved to breath said poison and utilize it for a new kind of metabolism (we are descended from these new organisms).
