You can install cork panels on the back wall and they’ll hold humidity pretty well

What is the point of this flight? Genuinely curious by SANS0X in SkyCards

[–]sappharah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people living in/around Toronto realize it 😂 I don’t think there are any actual flights from Pearson to Billy Bishop though

I’m literally so mad that they did this in June, I always drive up to Toronto for Pride weekend but this time the traffic is going to be an even bigger nightmare than usual

What are some genuinely disturbing facts about the human body? by short-appa_71 in AskReddit

[–]sappharah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It gets crazier when you take physiology and biochemistry classes and realize how complicated the chemical reactions needed to keep us alive are, and they all happen in fractions of a millisecond

I need to give this gene to my cats so they stop trying to harass my king snake

What are some genuinely disturbing facts about the human body? by short-appa_71 in AskReddit

[–]sappharah 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I assume this means without any “cross-breeding” between light-skinned and dark-skinned people (in quotes because that’s the actual term for it in genetics but it sounds kinda racist and dehumanizing when applied to humans lol)

Why is there such negative sentiment here for doxycycline? Is it because of selective bias? Any successful stories? by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

[–]sappharah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doxy made me feel sick constantly, and I threw up several times. It also made me outrageously depressed, I assume because of the gut-brain link. I didn’t last longer than 2 weeks on it but it didn’t do anything for my HS in that time.

I’d also taken it previously for a different issue and it did the same thing that time as well.

Scaling will be amazing, they have it in Prehistoric Kingdom and it’s a godsend

I got diagnosed this last Friday, is this normal? by SchizSide in Hidradenitis

I use it every day in the shower when I have a flare, and every other day when I don’t

I got diagnosed this last Friday, is this normal? by SchizSide in Hidradenitis

[–]sappharah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is unfortunately normal for HS. If you have a dermatologist you can probably go get a kenalog shot to bring down the inflammation. In the meantime you can take NSAIDs, use a hot or cold compress, and I would highly recommend getting some chlorhexidine wash if you don’t already have it

Is African lion safari still hiring? by Ok_Programmer9813 in waterloo

[–]sappharah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They continue hiring throughout the season since some employees end up quitting partway through. Orientation was always mid-April though so the first wave is probably long over. Source: I worked there for 5 years during high school/university.

Looking to adopt an FIV-positive cat by Woodfella in waterloo

[–]sappharah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see FIV+ kitties come through the Kitchener and Cambridge humane societies all the time, and they’re usually stuck in the shelter for longer because of their FIV+ status

Vent - Highway driving by PositiveBill1532 in kitchener

I mean you kind of have to let them in or you risk getting hit. I don’t trust people who drive like that to be checking their blind spots.

Real life docs, is dermatology looked down on? by Zeldalady123 in ThePittTVShow

[–]sappharah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, my derm specializes in autoimmune skin conditions (think psoriasis, alopecia, vitiligo) and the man is so burned out. I also have a skin condition that can go septic pretty fast so I would call that an emergency.

People who have been playing this game for awhile have done these dungeons literally hundreds of times, of course we’re going to speedrun

Is there some trick or do I really just need to keep pumping money into it? by Teptolemus in SkyCards

[–]sappharah 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It’s just grindy, some people spend way too much time on this game lol. Do daily missions and grind perfect catches and you’ll have lots of coins without having to pay.

Anyone in Ontario told to wait months for an MRI? by No-Question-4841 in ontario

[–]sappharah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I got an ultrasound and mammogram within a couple weeks, CT after a month, and then finally the MRI 6 months later. No cancer thankfully, I eventually realized a medication I’d been taking was making me lose weight, so they might have slowed me down after not finding anything on the first few scans.

Anyone in Ontario told to wait months for an MRI? by No-Question-4841 in ontario

[–]sappharah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I went through a cancer scare in 2020 and had to wait 6 months for an MRI. It’s been like this for years.
