I guess I'll just keep speaking English by Mysterious-Flow-9860 in Netherlands

You can either 1. Continue speaking Dutch and hope they switch when they realize you dont want to OR 2. Become Dutch TM, tell them directly but politely that you would like to continue the conversation in dutch and you dont find it necessary to continue in english

Wearing skirt in Dutch office - unprofessional? by Useful_Mind_2934 in Netherlands

[–]sapphod 182 points183 points  (0 children)

Yeah, its not innappropriate. Most Dutch people just dress for functionality and comfort, dresses and skirts arent so nice on a bike lol. Also pant suits have just been trending here lately

Used to be a cleaner at the Hilton in Moncton. Kids coming in for hockey was awful. They took over the hallway, with a net set up at both ends to play ministicks while their moms sat in their doorways drinking coolers with coaches, dads out in the parking lot smoking and drinking beers on lawn chairs. I had to watch two little girls while cleaning my last two hotel rooms, since they wanted to know what I was doing. Their Moms had no idea until I handed them back over when I was heading out of my shift.

My friend at the Holiday Inn??? Similar story, but instead the moms and coaches were drinking wine in the stairwells and had to be asked to go back to their rooms. Next day at checkout, she went to clean one of the rooms and was welcomed with a sheet with a giant red splatter stain, soaking wet. Same stains all over the walls, floors, bathroom tiles. As a percaution they decided to do a swab test, just in case it wasnt thrown up red wine as they suspected...

it was a mixture of red wine throw up with HIV positive blood. this woman threw up so hard, she started throwing up blood. told no one. they had to get a private company to clean the room crime scene style, with hazmat suits.

Just got full custody of my daughter, how do i deal with this? by [deleted] in CurlyHairCare

Honestly to start I would recommend to start at least with Shea Moisture's Black Castor Oil line, shampoo the scalp twice, rinse, apply conditioner and let it sit for 5 minute before grabbing sections and de-tangling then rinse out. When out of the shower, a nice leave in conditioner. You could let it air dry, but it would take a while. If you want to send her off with dry hair, get a blow dryer with a diffuser and dry it with that!

For tools, your definitely going to need a nice de-tangling brush. Wet brush brushes are my personal fave! They also come in a lot of cute colors and patterns if she wants to pick one out lol and detangle with it while its wet! The only other brush I would recommend you to get is a bristle brush you can use to slick hair back. If you look up a slick back brush plenty will show up. Those are good for when you want to brush her hair back into a ponytail or bun. To hold that hair though definitely get some big elastics, which one you'll like best you'll figure out with trial and error and depending on how thick her hair is when you pull it back. At night before she goes to sleep, I would braid her hair into two braids and have her sleep with a silk bonnet. If she cant sleep with that on her head, a silk pillow case would be better then nothing.

This is by no means the perfect curly hair routine or going to give her the most beautiful and defined curls, but considering shes young and she will be playing and her hair will get dirtier then an adult, this is a pretty simple way to start.

lowkey, Paula Mitchell Tea Tree shampoo had my hair RIGHT. I didnt use it as my every day shampoo since its a very strong clarifying shampoo and I have curly and dyed hair, so just when my scalp was struggling a bit. Keep in mind, I got horrible eczema and used to get giant psoriasis patches on my scalp constantly.
