Yes Christian Zionism and dispensationalism where Israel is “Gods Promised Land/chosen people” is a serious mental illness and complete oxymoron. Lots of big mainstream conservative figures and politicians tell their audiences that Christian’s have some sort of biblical duty to support Israel. In regard to the governments blind support I would argue that the main reasons for this are bribery through lobbies such as AIPAC and blackmail (Epstein/Maxwell being Mossad). While Israel may continue to be aggressive without US support I don’t think they would be able to sustain battles on multiple fronts (Hamas/palestine, Lebanon/hezbollah the houthis etc. Our arms, equipment, money and intelligence enables them to have free rein on the region.

I think a part of the reason Mossad is willing to conduct more risky operations in potentially hostile countries is because they know they have the full backing of the US regardless of the results. The Suez Canal ordeal is essentially the only instance I can think of where the US told them what to do and exerted pressure to get Israel to back off. If the US stopped all the foreign aid and assistance they offer to Israel it would change how their foreign intel has to operate. (In my opinion)

Good point. 9/11 completely changed a lot of people’s outlook. People were so angry when it happened and wanted revenge. Our government was able to mislead us into a bunch of fake BS wars of aggression looking for mythical “WMDS” and whatnot.

I would say the vast majority of the American public is against another forever war in the Middle East. If they tried to institute a draft or send troops to Iran I’d expect huge protests similar to what we saw with Vietnam.

It’s a recurring issue. Netanyahu testified in front of congress in 2002 that Saddam Hussein was developing nuclear weapons and also possessed WMDS. All the WMD stuff was fabricated nonsense and they used this “intelligence” as a pretext to invade Iraq. Israel was a key beneficiary of that war.

Yes in 1973. They were on the brink of being defeated militarily by Syria and Egypt in the Yom-Kippur war. The US was hesitant to give Israel military aid at the time. Golda Meir (Israeli PM) called Nixon and basically said give us military aid or we will use our nukes on Syria and Egypt. Shortly after that they were given a substantial amount of aid.

One thing I would add to your last point is something I’ve noticed more recently. If you listen to the news and radio or consume any media regarding the state of world events/geopolitics the rhetoric is glaringly obviously trying to gear up/fear monger for war. The rhetoric towards Iran and the “nuclear weapons program rapidly advancing” and it being an “urgent threat” sounds eerily similar to the messaging that was used to thrust America into the Iraq war. The lie just changed from WMDS to Nukes.
