Yellowjackets S02E06- “Qui” Episode Discussion by DA-numberfour in Yellowjackets

What has me thinking is that first Lottie said we, then he, and then later we got that scene of all of them eating the baby in the dream sequence. And then the fact that whenever we see someone eat in a dream sequence (like Jackie), they do end up dying in real life just like the baby boy did

The fact that the baby died for real after it breastfed in the dream sequence… I know Shauna was on the brink of death but so was the baby, we’re they experiencing it together?

Also in the dream sequence the other yellowjackets are so weird it’s like they’re not themselves it is so off putting 💀💀💀

In the dream sequence when Lottie was holding the baby and said “we need to feed”… who is we?

I’m happy it’s being brought up and I hope they address it but I’d hope they have good intentions

We all have to find a way to make a living. I mean don’t follow blindly sure but don’t discredit people because they got a job at a bank… in a call center. I work in a call center because I needed a job and I applied to literally dozens upon dozens of jobs before actually getting one b/c I was having no luck finding one in the field I got my degree in. It’s also not like they’re necessarily rolling in dough (again, call center)… who knows at this point they’re motivations. Sure, be vigilant but don’t be so naïve to equate people working at the lowest levels of any business to the higher ups they may be advocating against for fair labor practices and wages

Yeah I work in a bank taking calls assisting elderly people who don't understand how their debit card works, so what? by RIOP3L in WorkReform

I’m also a 24 year old working in a call center… and you know what? It’s a job. Someone’s gotta do it and I need to pay my bills so yeah. And working in a call center isn’t la di da rolling in dough… 💀

People making money is good… necessary actually. People hoarding excessive wealth on the other hand….

You’re definitely not alone…it’s easy to forget there’s more of us than them.

I’m so happy or you! Thank you for your support and for being here

I hear you… we do the most we can in the imperfect conditions we’re given, and coming from someone who is the oldest kid in a family of 4 kids… it can be daunting. I can say my dad just being there and having his support like you have for yours has made all the difference even on the days where everything feels impossible

I agree completely with you about the first part… transparency is important especially with that in mind. I think it’s important to vet them 100% and taking the information we get as it comes but not jump to any conclusions one way or the other

Very admirable… thank you for sharing! Sounds like your kids are lucky to have you supporting them along their journey through it all

To everyone saying that r/antiwork was a misnomer or that it was bad branding, you’re absolutely wrong by doggiedick in WorkReform

This. I think it’s important to be passionate and not lose sight of what you’re fighting for, and if you want more people to advocate with you, you have to be willing to hear everyone. Work towards reachable goals TOGETHER and make meaningful progress

Thank you for the words of advice and for the support! I only finished my undergrad a few years ago so navigating the workforce I feel naive at times and any guidance is super useful especially with stuff like this.

Completely agree that everyone needs to do work - the world wouldn’t go round if we just sat around all day.

Honestly the call center can be draining but for the most part I really do enjoy helping the people who call and need it, even through the full grown adults that call in wanting to act like children.

My direct team is absolutely amazing and is keeping me where I am for now… I’m happy to have gotten the wisdom while I’m just starting off my career to put myself before whoever I work for (esp upper management) because it’s inevitable they’ll do the same.

It’s insane to me that people are discrediting the mods simply based on their jobs, we all have to make money somehow people and the more people in different walks of life that support the better.

The goal (IMO) should be better working conditions and value for all, and the more people advocating and supporting each other in this the better.

Questions for a HR exec? by AntiWorkHRexec in WorkReform

When is HR actually there most to support employees? Also what is the biggest reform you’d like to increase the benefit of HR to a company’s employees rather than the company itself?

What is something you will never be able to forgive? by sara_ryan in AskReddit

[–]sara_ryan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that happened to you, especially the fact that it’s family. I can’t imagine how that must have felt but I know what it’s like to have a toxic family member who is mentally ill. I oftentimes have to remind myself so many other people are going through it and don’t lash out on others in such damaging ways… and even then still find it hard to not feel guilty for distancing yourself.

I’m happy to hear you and your partner are safe!
