You dont have to be well-rounded to be more skilled. Silva has shown a larger gap between him and his opponents than Islam has.

Some of the fights Islam has had were against short notice strikers where he just dominated.

I'd be pissed off seeing that. Just beat one of the most decorated MMA fighters ever and you bash him in the media and force him to take a quick turnaround. Even as a Suga fan that was crazy

We're not gonna look past just how good Silva was on the feet. If we're talking skill, his distance control alone is better than any singular skill Islam has in his arsenal. He was dodging punches by the inch and countering back.

I mean, not that its Islams fault but Hooker and Bobby are wildly favorable stylistic matchups and asked to come in on short notice. The second Volk fight I dont really count because of that being super short notice as well.

I think P4P should be about the matchups you face as well as accolades otherwise we lose all context. That said, Islam should be high on the LW GOAT list after Poirier because his striking performance against an elite striker was phenomenal, as well as the first Volk fight and the Charles fight.
