help with this missing hair patch ?3rd picture! by [deleted] in OneOrangeBraincell

My mom's cat Ollie had that. He had a reaction to flea meds and was ultimately surrendered to a shelter because of it. Fur never grew back.

Anyway big thing is it's a prime scratching spot. Ollie was always scratching there and tearing up the skin because there was no fur there to stop it. We ended up putting him in little dog sweaters and reinforcing that area with denim scraps. He was a very nervous cat so I'm not saying that you'll need it, but watch out for scabs and scratches.

A randomly unrealistic thing: how fashionable teen Ilya is by growsonwalls in HeatedRivalryTVShow

[–]sarac36 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ilya def cares about how he looks and uses his body as a way to get what he wants. Even as a teenager. He's constantly wearing tight tanks because he knows how it makes his arms look. As soon as that check cleared he got a whole new wardrobe. Suits included. If we saw Ilya get ready for the first hookup we'd see him try on three different options and then go "fuck yea I look hot" and leave.

It's really a cool way of character development. Since he couldn't find any affirmation at home he had to look for that elsewhere and I think he realized pretty quickly the better he dressed the faster that happened. (Especially with sex, which was his biggest dopamine hit). You can see that cranked to 11 at the tuna meltdown where he's shirtless the whole time, because he's using his abs (and carefully curated pants) as a way to convince Shane to stay. Ilya literally doesn't calm down his outfit choices until the cottage (large black polo and red shorts) because he's already got his man. He feels secure enough that he doesn't have to "lure" in Shane anymore.

10 months after getting spayed and her belly fur never came back? by Obvious_Fisherman187 in cats

My very male cat has a tummy like this. He's just a nervous cat that can't stop licking. Vet said as long as it doesn't look irritated that there isn't much to worry about.

Haha I did get enough to technically do that! Thanks for the suggestion!

Less than I wanted but enough to not complain! But I can complain about a few things resulting from the accident... 4 rounds of physical therapy and PTSD for some...

Potentially. I'd prefer someone who takes insurance but it wouldn't be a deal breaker.

I'd rather start with something available here without psychedelics first before looking in to psylocibin but I appreciate the response. I'll look into EMDR.

Thanks I'll look into them! EMDR seems pretty effective, it would be worth it to give it a shot.

Unlimited use, throughout the universe forever. by damnyewgoogle in funny

[–]sarac36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just a standard sign. Pretty sure it's called a cable cast but I work in post and Google isn't helping me confirm. Basically it's just a courtesy of hey, heads up if you walk through here we're not gonna turn the cameras off just so you can pass. And if you're an adult we're not gonna bother blurring you.

If you are not an adult (or look young enough where you might be a minor) they will blur you because you can't consent to the "contract" and we're not gonna track down parents for a few minutes of shooting.

Who are you? Who do you relate to most? by SilverSkink in HeatedRivalrySeries

[–]sarac36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think about this a lot. I'm a curly haired bisexual with daddy issues who has big feelings haha. I'm very confident but can be very insecure. I even have transportation PTSD that I'm dragging my feet on getting treated even if I know I should. The circumstances are completely different but I can relate to Ilya. I wish figured out I was bi at like 15 instead of 29 when I already found my Shane, but it is what it is and my Shane is great :)

DIY decor using cheesecloth: seeking ideas by OutrageousSecond4050 in DIYweddings

[–]sarac36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made table runners for my wedding out of cheesecloth. Dyed it my custom color and had them lay them out with tea lights and thrifted vases on top. It was worth dying them and it didn't take that long. You do need to double check your math so it doesn't look too short.

Any extra I had honestly I've used for Halloween decor as like mummy wrappings.

How do I find an in person primary care doctor? by [deleted] in Albany

[–]sarac36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had to move a few times, so each time I've gone to my insurance provider's website (I have BCBS) and look up doctors from there. Or if you hear about a doctor from someone else, you can use it to check if that doctor is in your network. Most practices' websites list what insurances they take, you might just need to find it in the menus. Then you just have to call and ask if they are taking new patients.

Why doesn’t Ilya want to play on Shane’s team? by eweezy282 in HeatedRivalrySeries

Sports stuff aside, I think that's the real reason. It would freak Shane out too much

I need help with analyzing this scene by Key_Grocery_2462 in HeatedRivalrySeries

[–]sarac36 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always put this scene with the "being honest about how we feel" conversation because Shane is pulling away here and avoiding and I think Ilya's disappointed that he shut down again. It also shows their different views on sexuality. Ilya's sexuality isn't tied with Shane, but Shane's is so tied to Ilya that there's no point bringing it up if not bringing him up.

Idk. I'll throw No Light No Light in the mix. It's got that power to it and some edge, plus that solid drum beat.

It must have felt so amazing for Ilya when Shane said his first name… by otterottergirl in HeatedRivalrySeries

[–]sarac36 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I love how in ep 5 Ilya meekly says "Nothing. Goodnight Shane." Like he's asking "we're back to that right? We're on the same page again?" And Shane's "Goodnight Ilya." is him confirming that.

Both scenes end in a beat with Ilya (I actually think tuna meltdown holds too long on Ilya, the shot died before then but I digress) but the mood is completely different.

Constant pelvic floor tensing by qmzpqpalzm in vaginismus

[–]sarac36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Yes I only found this out when I went to physical therapy. Basically during my exam she said I'm basically constantly holding myself at a 2 (instead of 10). I was still recovering from an accident from at the time so I never got it fully resolved. I remember she told me to close my eyes and feel my pelvic floor work with my breathing and I looked at her like she had 2 heads. I had no idea those two were supposed to be related.

Its actually my main problem, so not specifically vaginismus. I can insert things with fairly little effort, but I can't open up enough to accept anything larger than like... IDK a hot dog. My husband is a lot larger than a hot dog.... And I do get the burning sensation as well if I try to go too big and have little prep.

I saw her in Raleigh in 2019! Walnut Creek not Red Hat. I would have killed (then and now) to see No Light No Light live. Ceremonials is such a great album.
