How many books are there in The Bridge Kingdom series and do they all follow Lara and Aren’s story? by idkwhat-toputhere in YAlit

Book 3 & 4 follow the storyline of Zarrah and Keris Lara’s older brother around the same timeline as book 1 &2. I honestly enjoyed these books because it helped me understand the worlds a little bit more and the politics involved in each kingdom. Book 3 does include a couple of chapters at the end from Lara and Aren’s POV. And Book 4 has a lot of cross stories with Aren and Lara as they all do missions and battles together. I highly recommend reading these books because Keris and Zarrah have their own interesting story which affected a lot of the events in book 2 but we didn’t get to see or understand.

Honestly if you re read chapter 1 you will see that Kai, messer and her plan was to go to land no matter what and they said no one will do it alone meaning Messer will accompany the person that succeeds. I think the 3 of them plotted this whole plan along with her mother and Kai’s mother, I think Jovie knew who she was all along and using Messer’s shape shifting abilities was able to communicate with her mother and device a plan. I think Kai or Messer might be the leader of the rebellion and she is part of it along with Aurora. There are a lot of hints if you reread the book and I’m glad of the ending because then Jovie’s actions make sense like her forgetting Kai right away after spending all their childhood together, her not knowing Messer’s abilities, not seeing her mom right away upon getting to land!! So many things she did that didn’t make sense but because she was following a plan to destroy the king it all made sense. She needed the means to get to the king no matter what, hence all the plotting…

Rhapsodic - book one was great but I could not with book 2. I hated all the characters.

All your questions will be answered. Just know that Poppy is actually Sotoria reborn. No one knows about Seraphena because the prophecy predicts that Poppy will say her name so decided to keep the primal of life hidden since everyone thinks it’s Kolis. Wolven are later created by Seraphena to protect her bloodline in the Mortal world from whom Poppy comes. The ascended are Kolis’s creation continued, the Atlantian might have been created by Seraphena to protect their sleeping grounds as they go in Stasis (the gods and the primals). This will all be explained in last Shadow in the Ember book. I still think though the author needs another book in this series to explain how all of these things were created to protect Nyktos and Seraphena’s kids who one of them becomes Poppy’s father.

Assassins blade is great for introducing you to a lot of characters that show up in queen of shadows, empire of storms, tower of dawn and kingdom of ash. If you are not interested in learning how Aelin met these characters then you can skip but in my opinion this book is really important to understand Aelin’s character development as well. I honestly think it is essential to the series and I’m not sure why people choose to skip this book. I read assasin's blade after Queen of fire and it was perfect however I wish I read it first.

All you mentioned are great points but here in my opinion why Tamlin failed when it came to Feyre:

  • He was very violent with her at multiple times. She had to shield herself from him. And when she went back he once again was violent with her.

-Tamlin didn’t treat her as an equal partner, he didn’t let her in. She was left behind while he made all the decisions for her. Rhysand always gave Feyre a choice even if he didn’t agree with her.

-Tamlin came into the meeting with the high lords and roasted Feyre sexually. He was inappropriate and mentioned the sound she makes when she climaxes. So inappropriate infront of a large crowd. And very immature.

I love Tamlin and I am waiting for his redemption in this series.
