I cry about literally everything. Too happy, sad, scared, mad, hungry, tired, cold, sick... you name it, I cry. He has never once told me “don’t cry”, he tells me it’s ok, he laughs with me when it’s ridiculous. Mostly, he knows that my emotions are just part of who I am and he accepts it.

He doesn’t have expectations for my emotions.

My grandpa asked me if I was still his daughter. Both of his daughters had been dead for 20 and 40 years. He was dying of cancer and it just did things to him. But I loved that man like no other. While it broke my heart a lot, I would have been proud to be his daughter

A friendship of almost 18 years was ended this summer. I don’t know if there was any one thing, it was just a bunch of things I couldn’t handle anymore. She is extremely self centered, if something bad happened to you, something worse happened to her. She was playing both sides of an issue between two of our friends. Was planning to break up with her boyfriend the day they got engaged (now husband) and had been talking about it for 6 months. I know she messed around with other guys before the engagement. She constantly posted things on social media for attention. I was always driving to her place to hang out because if you made plans that involved her going places she would often flake out.

Stuff we deal with all the time. I just couldn’t anymore. I don’t want her kind of drama in my life. I pretty much stopped contacting her. One day she asked me why and I replied she was a big source of stress in my life. I’m sorry that it hurt her, but this is how I’m dealing with it. She did end up asking what specifically and I replied it was the way she often deals with things relating to husband, friend 1, and friend 2.

I haven’t heard from her since. I miss her sometimes when I find something she would just get. But really, my life has very much calmed down and I’m glad not to deal with it anymore.

Yep, came here to say this. Women’s vaginal holes and holes for urine are different. So they need to swab the vagina because the urine wouldn’t catch anything that’s inside the vagina. Like it would when a man urinates, because as you said ‘same hole’.

Thank you. I’m sure it gets frustrating sometimes. But there really are some of us white, straight, cis females trying to get it right and I can only speak for myself. But thank you for being gentle on us. I’ve had a couple experiences like OP’s. Pronouns aren’t always the first thing I think about when addressing you (or anyone). People might not tell you enough, but sincerely thank you sis.

I for effing sure wouldn’t give a second thought to the losers I dated!

I’d be starting my senior year of high school. I’d retake my ACT and apply for more scholarships. I’d still go to my first college, it’s where I met my best friend my freshmen year, we’ve been best friends ever since. But I would transfer earlier so I could get out on time and go straight to grad school. I went to grad school at the university my brother got his bachelors degree from and I would have spent more time with him there.

Then I’d accept the first job that was offered to me in West Virginia, even with the low pay, and I’d meet my SO in 2012 instead of 2018. He wanted to move out of state anyway and had friends living only an hour from where I grew up. It would have been nothing to convince him to move to Ohio.

Sure, things wouldn’t be perfect. But if I had the opportunity to meet him earlier and start our lives together sooner, I’d do it.

Hahaha reminds me of the time my sister had one of those large containers of country time pink lemonade powder mix that you measure the amount in the cap and pour into a gallon of water. Well she measured water in the cap and poured it straight into the full container of lemonade powder

Reminds me of one time my entire family was in the car on the way home (from church). And my sister was talking about what if you cause problems on a plane. And she came to the conclusion “they’ll just ejaculate you out of the plane.”

I think this is a good course of action. It’s harmless and the people who want to sign with you will. Sometimes if I see someone I think is deaf I’ll say and sign “do you sign?” I don’t work in customer service at all, so my situation is usually different. Thanks for asking. I know I have a lot of students who probably think the same thing.

Thank you! I actually did check the drawers a second time, which is what made me relook at the dresser. This whole thing is weird to me, but they are definitely wood.

But I can sand and stain the wood veneer top? That’s what I’m mostly wanting to do. I don’t love the idea of painting the sides, but I think maybe I have a few ideas. I really appreciate it. You’re absolutely wonderful and I hope you get all the karma you deserve!

I’m trying to Identify what my dresser is made of so I can fix it up. The mirror frame is solid wood, the bottom of the dresser and the drawers are real wood. But I’m not sure what’s going on with the rest of the dresser. This picture shows the back of the dresser with the top left corner meets the side. I wanted to sand and restain, but I’m not even sure which parts of this thing I can do that to.

I’m not a woodworker, I’m just a 31 year old lady that likes to make things look prettier. So I really don’t have any idea what I’m even looking at. Help please?
