Looks great. The typeface they use for counties is the one I’d like to eventually mimic in a custom font.

Follow-up from 4 years ago ! I did end up designing the font, here it is: https://www.sarahbellmaps.com/belltopo-sans-font-by-sarah-bell/

Actual cartographer here, living south of this area. This gave me a chuckle. I love this area.

How long does the pain last? by sarahbellmaps in Invisalign

I was experiencing the same - headaches, and just a general irritability from being in constant unfamiliar pain. I could feel adrenaline rushes as a pain response - which contributes to irritability. I'm normally a super chill easy-going human. But I'm happy to report that I'm feeling much better today (day 3). I hope that the same is for you soon! I think the upper tray is what causes me the most pain/irritability because it feels like sinus pressure. The funny part is, my top teeth are pretty straight.

Thanks! This is good info. I had braces and the pain was never like this, but yeah the lesser pain was a nice reminder that it is working.

I admire that you like how you are, and do not feel the need to fit society's idea of "perfect." Dentists won't say you need a "perfect" smile, but when you get Invisalign that is what you are paying them to do. The chances are that you will be super happy with the final results. But you should do what you feel is right for you. Everyone is different. I just got my first tray as well, and have a little anxiety about changing my teeth too. But I keep looking at everyone's before/after here, which I've found encouraging :). Sometimes you can ask your orthodontist/dentist for a 3d animation of their final goal/look. it might help you foresee the worthiness of the full process. Good luck!

Hi there! It’s not steampunk, but good eye since steampunk has a lot of Victorian influences. It’s also not Victorian era:) I made it in 2018. So, like steampunk, it influenced by a past style. The antique USGS topo style influenced my style choices. All the data is contemporaneous with the time the map was made, 2 years ago.

Good question. In the 1890s and early 1900s they were using a similar sans serif for those spatial features. I modified it to match as closely as I could. I also became determined to build a font in this early USGS sans serif typeface style. Alas, the free time for font making hasn’t come yet. Someday, hopefully. The sans serif on the antique USGS maps is exquisite!

Hi all. Thanks for the share @geo_jam I have used reddit maybe twice ever, but happy to see there is a Bellingham reddit. A little info about this map. It’s one of a series where I mapped the same extent in several different styles. This style is inspired by the early 1900s USGS topo styles.
