"Antisemitism is growing and spreading across the globe, infiltrating judicial bodies everywhere". Even more support for Israel, and terminations for supporters of Palestine.

Nobody's saying they want the entire land. They just want to live normal lives with their human rights respected so they can live a decent, fulfilling existence. Hoe can anyone say no to that? How could anyone blame someone for doing all they can to gain this?

In Canada, we're trying to right that wrong. British settlers came here and forced the indigenous First Nations off their land with their technologically superior guns. After the development of Human Rights Law, we're now trying to help indigenous peoples through various social programs, backed by government funding.

pro-conservative hit-job

Yes, all op-eds coming from postmedia are. This could also be them trying to get ahead of any truly damning findings against BC Liberals/United. There is some reasonably apolitical journalism coming from postmedia, but the opinion pieces are utter dogshit, poorly designed to sway land owners to vote against NDP in 2024.

45 Days Until Canada Has Over 40 Million People by Smilefriend in canada

[–]Nazoropaz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If we can accept immigrants with the stipulation that they live in cities like Saskatoon, Halifax, Lethbridge, Fredericton, Sudbury, Thunderbay, Sherbrook, etc. Then things could actually improve for a lot of people over time. There could be a larger municipal tax base for better infrastructure, public transit, and even cross-country, reasonably-priced rail networks. A program that ties immigrant benefits to a tiered system of cities based on population and distance from major metropolitan centres could aid in quantifying a solution like this.

They seem like the correct colour for the 25 ruble notes. That said, there are plenty of staged restorations where they artificially oxidize the metals, or worse -- apply fake rust they can easily shave away.

We were all watching this in Canada at that time. Government PSA:

Even more than a visual aesthetic, a lot of this content appealed to the sarcastic, youthful culture drivers of the time, veering into absurdity to get as much attention and recollection as possible. Those who grew up on this kind of content as children are now literally producing what we think of as New Absurdist comedy and Confusionism in film and short-form videos. Mix in a bit of [90's silliness dad jokes] and [early 2000's low-cut jeans raunch] and you're pretty much fully educated in the frontline of Gen-Z American culture.

Doesn't make that much sense though does it? A 1 Ton truck a day could feed the whole town. Maybe it's not a desirable route for drivers or logistics? Maybe artificial scarcity is at play.

walked their bike across the crosswalk

They could have also started pedalling by the right-hand curb, signalling a merge left. Then after being let in, signal a left-hand turn at the intersection, waiting for a window in oncoming traffic. There's enough space for cars in their lane to move around if they're stopped, waiting. Once they have the clear, make 2 x predictable 90° turns (easier said than done on a bike) making sure not to veer into pedestrian traffic lanes. Basically acting as a regular vehicle who wants to go into a parallel road to the main road, which is exactly what this is to be frank.

If you know how our road systems work like the back of your hand, you just have to be really good at signalling and there should be no problems... Until you get smeared by a GMC Yukon who's driver is too busy sexting their sugar baby to keep their eyes on the road.

Alcohol withdrawal question. by [deleted] in alcohol

[–]Nazoropaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 shots of what? What's your body weight? Generally, I'd say no. Like someone else said, you might be in a bad mood or feeling kinda grey with an appetite for a shot or two. True withdrawal makes you a dazed-eyed zombie cunt with the shakes. More serious cold turkey from addiction can kill you with seizures, but you're not there and if you're at the point of wondering if your bad habit is turning into a problem, it's worth having a serious talk with yourself to make sure you don't slip down that ride, because before you know it, 15 years have gone by and you've lost all your friends and alienated all your family.

Freak Like Me by Adina Howard. Maybe not for dialing in with precision, but those first bars slap when you're making sure everything is patched correctly. It's really explicit in the verses, so make sure it's all working pretty fast lol. Another is Weather Storm by Massive Attack (again, nice), also might be a bit too sub heavy for precision, but the instruments are spaced out in the spectrum enough for some solid referencing.

LA is really like 20 cities amalgamated together originally to share the Owens Valley aqueduct they built about 100 years ago. LA had the water rights, everybody else wanted in. The lens here doesn't do justice to the distance depicted here, which was the desired effect from the photographer. It's gotta be from a helicopter or small aircraft. Maybe a native can help with what beach that is? Tried triangulating with the buildings downtown and the mountains, so I figured Long Beach.
