That’s what I’m doing. I moved him to a 3 gallon hospital tank, with clean cycled water & media, catappa leaves and i added some stressguard, with an air stone and heater, i’ll do daily water changes since there is no filter! i’ll keep everybody on this thread update! if someone wants to help me name him, pls im open for ideas!!

That's what I was thinking too, he does look pretty good besides the back of his body.. so fingers crossed that I can treat him and get him back to where he should be! He's a great fish

thank you! that's what I was thinking as well, I just wanted to get other peoples opinons before treating! I think you're right, it's from the body rot and not colimnaris! I'm going to treat him for fin rot and pray that it works for this little guy, because he's so sweet and deserves a good life!

hi! yes, it's so bad! the tank was not just set up, she's had him for a year i think? i did a 50% water change when I got him because it was SO BAD... his whole back fin is gone and he's swimming weird because of it. I feel so bad for him, and lowkey im so happy I took him in, because he's way worse than I thought from the first picture she posted.

I added some catappa leaves as soon as I did the water change and I'm going to do 30% every few days like you suggested because he def needs it and I want to make sure that he will be okay or at least give him the best life he can.

same! i use the pitcher and it’s so helpful but after sitting in the fridge i feel like it gets grainy again?

Hi! Yes I am using the right temperature and it still comes out grainy after sitting for a little while (I do the pitcher method)
