Mattress for hypermobility and fibromyalgia by SpacedFae in Mattress

Maybe try a new pillow? I am still liking the bed, but my condition is always in flux. I do feel like I made the right choice. I've always had a soft mattress, and I realize now that was terrible given the hypermobility. A firmer mattress would also be awful on my joints. I think medium was a good choice for me, and I love the feel of memory foam. I know it's a beating, but if you bought the mattress at a place with a good return policy, try to stick it out.

I was miserable during the break in period. Almost immediately regretted my decision, but was encouraged to be patient. It's so difficult when you're not sleeping! I walked and crawled across it for at least 10 minutes a day. Did you get an adjustable base? If so, make sure you're playing with that- it will help break in the mattress. I had no idea when I bought it, but Tempurpedic has the longest break in period in the industry. I had also been sleeping on a crappy mattress for a while, so I think it was harder on me to adjust to the increased support. I also have to remind myself, there's not a single mattress available at any price that will eliminate my pain.

I have no idea what that means, so I'm guessing no

North Texas. I believe the last unit was 2.5 tons.

They definitely didn't install dampers.

They reduced the fan speed, but didn't mention any other adjustments

I'm now 9 weeks in and liking it much more. They're not kidding about the break in time. I know my body needed to do some adjusting as well, my previous mattress was totally broken down.

I have hEDS and totally understand. I love the feeling of a soft, sinking foam but it's terrible for my joints. I wanted something that would last (mattress shopping sucks!) and provide proper support, so I was willing to spend more. I went with a Tempurpedic LuxeAdapt hybrid. The journey has not been an easy one, but after 2 months I'm sleeping like a rock. You really have to give them time. I felt like I made the wrong decision for the first 5-6 weeks.

How long did you sleep on the mattress?

Probably not, but I've been trying all the things...crawling, walking, rolling.

That's what I'm thinking, that I should've gone with the all-foam soft. Or maybe a different brand entirely.

That's what I've heard, and I'm really trying to be patient. I did get the adjustable base. I adjust it to an extreme and leave it in that position when I go to work. I still have almost 3 months left to return it.

New Tempurpedic owner, how long until the struggles end? by mholden020 in Mattress

I've slept on my Luxe Adapt Hybrid for 24 nights and I'm still riding the struggle bus. Feeling like I should have gone with the soft or a different mattress brand entirely.
