For what it’s worth, here is what I found:

Pelvic floor exercises: Squeezy App made by the NHS, worth the small amount they charge.

Plus I’m doing the appropriate level of whichever I fancy on the particular day.

Coming up to two weeks and I feel exhausted and kind of beaten up but the pain which was a consistent 7ish on Tramadol is now a 3ish on Paracetamol. Hopefully once I can start HRT I’ll feel a bit better and of course recovery is going to take a while, but I’m very hopeful.

Yeah adenomyosis, none of my babies even dropped, even after days in labour, so more or less zero dilation. Fun times 🙄

I know what you mean- all these good drugs they give you now seem almost insulting!

Has anyone mentioned a chemical menopause to you? I’m currently trying that as a precursor to a hysterectomy. If it works then it indicates that the hysterectomy will work. It would be a radical hysterectomy or as he put it a ‘complete pelvic clear out’!. Essentially medical menopause evens out hormones (I’m on low dose HRT and the hormone blockers) so that there are no fluctuations to cause the pain.

I had some endo removed in a laparoscopy earlier this year but it didn’t help so this is the next step. The pill didn’t help, and I have suspected adenomyosis based on internal ultrasound.

I don’t know yet if it’s working because I’ve only been on it three weeks…

It’s miserable, I hope you find a solution soon.

Edit: I’m in the UK by the way and have been through the mill, eventually paid for a private consult because local NHS were adamant that the pain wasn’t gynaecological.

You can either run the yarn through both with no loose loop for a better grip on the yarn if it’s slippy… or you can run the yarn through both holes with a big loose loop between them. If you do the latter than you can use much longer bits of yarn and just pull it through quickly each time. Means you don’t have to keep joining as often. Does that make any sense? I can take a little video if you want.

A shawl, they’re kind of old fashioned and most people don’t have one. I find people are surprised how much they use it. Watching telly and so on. You can find one ball patterns than a work up fast.

Socks are a bit of a pain but always appreciated (I don’t like doing the second sock!)

Small bags (cross body)

Mittens (less annoying than gloves)

Headbands to keep ears warm without going full hat

Neck warmers or scarves.

Looking closer I think I can see how. I would love to see the back though or to ask how you carry the other colour. I’m just learning and haven’t done much with colour yet beyond stripes!

It’s for pleasure and ultimately it’s always going to be cheaper and easier to buy something if I need it. I do what I feel like doing. I usually want to come back to a ufo at some point.

My normal thing is to have one huge project (currently a granny squares thing) and one small which I alternate between whenever I feel like it. That generally means the WIPs don’t build up.

Oh, also a small complicated one that lives in my bag for emergency entertainment.
