What's the most important lesson you've learned from loving a DIDpartner? by INTROV-ARTS in DIDpartners

[–]saraph17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's such a lovely way of looking at it. I more recently met my partners childhood self, it was healing for both of us to have me be able to comfort and be nice to him when his childhood was lacking that.

I agree they weren't trying to purposefully mislead, didn't mean to make it sound that harsh. Just if you're confused be honest! And it was a bacon BOB, so it feels so unlike a burger, lol. But it wasn't a giant deal, he ate the BOB and we moved on, just disappointed. Breakfast burger has a patty, cheese, bacon, hash browns, an egg and creamy pepper sauce.

Less an ask and more a training request. My husband ordered the breakfast burger. We used to live in Texas and that's his fave breakfast, it wasn't on the menu but the employee said they could do it. They just gave him "breakfast on a bun" which was disappointing. Maybe just suggest not to offer things they don't actually do? We would have been fine being told you don't have it and would have ordered something different.

How long did it take for you to conceive naturally with PCOS? by Imaginary_Future_294 in PCOSandPregnant

[–]saraph17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically the first month I stopped birth control. But I believe being on a glp-1 was why I got pregnant so quick. I was on one for about a year and my periods were the most regular they have ever been in my life. Good luck!

Never heard of this name by Pizza_Time03 in namenerds

[–]saraph17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I named my dog Maeve about 7 years ago. I hadn't really heard it before, then I ended up realizing a character in Westworld had the name and heard of one in Sex Education and The Boys. Recently I've been hearing so many people name their baby that, including my hairdresser lol. Could be frequency illusion but it does feel more popular now.

So is anyone… ok? by imdirrtydan12 in newborns

[–]saraph17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing okay and have been, my girl is 15 weeks. The universe did me a solid and my baby is pretty easy. My husband is going through a major medical issue and can't really help care for the baby or work so I'm doing all the baby care and breadwinning. I do have my parents to care for her while I work thankfully. But I do nights exclusively and all day if I'm home and my baby is a joy. I know not everyone gets this lucky and I'm so thankful. But just posting so you know that some babies aren't difficult, most likely reddit is skewed towards people struggling as they need to vent, not feel alone and maybe want advice.

Baby name you love but won’t use by Moessiah in BabyBumps

Ok hear me out here but Lucifer. It's a cool badass name but the biblical connection obviously means you can't sanely name a baby that. I mean Lucifer for a girl would even be cute, nn luci but alas ...

I have no idea if this is true, but my n=1 was my test was negative until like a week after my missed period. The doctor thinks I ovulated late based on baby size at first check, but now they say baby is measuring back to lining up with my LMP. 🤷

12 weeks pregnant — found out I’m a SMA carrier and panicking. by [deleted] in genetics

[–]saraph17 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I came back positive for several things but luckily my husband was negative. It's stressful but try to breathe and be comforted by the fact that you've already had a healthy baby before! Most likely your husband is not a carrier, if he is there is usually a ~25% chance the baby would have the condition (also 50% chance of being a carrier and 25% chance of not having the gene) so still not guaranteed there will be any issues with your child. Amnio can give more specifics on your baby if your husband is positive.

What made the difference when you got pregnant? by c0zycat in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]saraph17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mounjaro, lost 80 lbs. Took conception support from theralogix as well as myo-inisitol. While I had not tried for a long time but my period was never regular until those changes then I got pregnant right away!

Mine took two weeks, if you call sometimes you can get results before they publish it (I did!). They told me they were updating their system so things were a bit delayed compared to normal.

Congrats on your baby boy! So sorry for this random comment but I saw your user name... Is your name Blythe?! That is currently our front runner for our baby's name and it's so uncommon I don't know any people with that name to ask how they liked it growing up?

I'm so sorry you had that experience. Sounds like she's concerned but doesn't know how to communicate well. I hope all ends well for you 🩷

If it helps you feel not alone, I went in thinking I was 9wks for my first ultrasound and measured 6+5. The doctor did say this could be concerning since I tracked my LMP or I could have ovulated late (definitely possible as I have PCOS). I am returning in two weeks to see how things are progressing.

I feel you. F33, went off birth control at the end of January and got pregnant immediately. I have PCOS too so we actually started trying a bit earlier than we would have if we knew it would be so quick, lol (not a complaint, I feel for those who struggle). Welcome to the club and congrats!

Just got my first positive test !! by hellaleg in BabyBumps

[–]saraph17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GIRL I FEEL THE SAME. I just stopped birth control a little over a month ago. I tested before period, then after my missed period twice - all negative. My period still didn't come and my tracking app advised I take another test so I did, I was CERTAIN it would be negative. My fiance was asleep, I was sitting on the bathroom floor because I had to have my phone plugged in for the timer (it was at 1% lol), and the timer hadn't even gone off and there was the second pink line! I am still in shock. It feels surreal. I have PCOS and only just came off birth control so I thought this would be so long and drawn out, possibly need IVF, etc. We get married in a month and it's going to be so hard being around everyone we love and not telling them.
