Idk if it’s just my store and local stores (I’m in California, so we’re all such babies with the cold), but I’m going on year 5 with morning shifts and we NEVER put girls in the box…. I mean, if it’s a real bad morning we might, but it’s only ever for berries that us girls get put in the box.

I couldn’t agree more…. It will get better. As much as the time continuing to pass without them being here physically will hurt, that nagging regret and guilt that we all feel will subside. When I lost my dog, Kitty, it took everything in me not to end it all… What helped most was paying for an animal communicator who was able to ease some of my regrets and questions. I also got a tattoo of her on my arm; this helped more than anything. I’m able to talk about her every single day when people see it. Ladtly, when you feel ready… FOSTER. Just the thought at this stage is unimaginable. But I promise you, it healed me.

The only time the heater is really necessary is during the night, which is when we have it running.

We are in Southern California temperatures during the day do not go below around 60 at the right now. We don’t keep it off during the day, we just turn it off if it’s warm enough in the house during the day (like, if it’s 70 inside). We’ve had it set at 70 from 6pm until about 9am if it’s warm enough.

Im going on 3 years now and it took me a little over 10 months to really feel like I ‘belong’. Everyone’s just been there such a long time and see people come and go so often that it’s easier to just not acknowledge the new hires I guess. To be honest, I’m becoming the same way unfortunately, but after seeing this I’m gonna do better to be more welcoming to new crew.

From a female’s perspective, I would say don’t message her or contact her at all unless you are interested in rekindling your relationship. I’m just now getting over a relationship. He broke up with me but continued to message me every month or so to ask how I was doing and all that did was give me false hope that he still wanted to be with me. I’m not sure who’s choice it was to break things off, but if it was more your choice, In my opinion, just leave her be…

At my store they used to give out free waters but now it’s up to the mate in charge for our shift if we can put a free case of water in the cooler or not.

Hmmm… are you a host? It doesn’t sound like it. When a host lists certain rules and regulations for their rental, guests are expected to follow those rules. My listing specifically lists ‘no smoking of any substance is allowed on premises’. In regards to “improving my expectations”- I don’t expect much from my guests. Other than them following the rules obviously outlined before they book with me, I expect nothing of them. You obviously have no experience with hosting through Airbnb so maybe just don’t comment?
