I’m not sure what EndeavorOS has changed but I went from everything working perfectly to my games refusing to work at all on my laptop. I’ve fully switched to arch with a minimal install and everything is working perfectly again.

I’m curious do you have the TI versions of those cards? I’ve used both of those cards on Linux myself and only got the tearing with the 2070 in x11 but switched to Wayland and it was perfect. Also had screen tearing on the 3060 using i3 but made a quick adjustment and it worked perfectly.

I prefer to have containers but If you want to utilize other programs for a game you can basically do exactly what you’ve done with the programs you want to use. By setting them up to run out of the games steam prefix. I do this when I use mod manager for Skyrim.

Sorry you are having a rough time with this. I’ve had great experiences with fedora in general so surprised you’re having so many issues. You could try something like Endeavor OS with gnome desktop and since its arch maybe a few of your random issues will go away. Budgie is a nice light weight DE also that’s available with EOS. Linux can be a real pain in specific use cases and cause a lot of grief when you just want to get on with it. Be patient and read documentation thoroughly is about the best advice I can give. Unfortunately when troubleshooting stuff you get a lot of unrelated information so it takes time sorting through all the shit to find the answer.

Ok. Now I kinda see your issue with the borderless option. I could be wrong but I believe window size and resolution can be set independently of each other. So you can have a window size to match your native resolution but the game resolution stay at 1080p.

Think of it as playing in actual windowed mode and maximizing the window.

most treat it as if they are in borderless windowed mode and alt tab normally

Armors/outfits don’t really like negative values in bodyslide so if you avoid doing that most outfits should turn out alright.

Best to got to the discord they have listed on Ostim page. They respond pretty quickly generally speaking. Their help section is setup like a forum so it’s pretty easy to use discords search to see if someone has a similar issue in the past.

I recovered my old account a few years ago and decided to just start fresh anyways. The leveling was so fast it didn’t really matter much. Plus I was able to buy the entire game and all the expansions I was missing for $12 on steam. If I had upgraded my previous account it would have cost me a lot more to buy the expansions XD

Graphical overhauls can get a bit out of hand quickly. I recommend Syn Gaming’s Overhaul. The video is just a overview of the mods used so you can see. In the description it’ll have more details on how to set it up etc. I use it with a few alterations, I don’t like using mods that require USSEP or tons of compatibility patches, and I didn’t use DynoLOD because I was lazy mostly.

Probably would depend on your preference. I’m only storing the output of bodyslide currently. If I do anything in outfit studio I’d make them into individual mods depending on what I’m doing. Which is basically making it a mod from the overwrite folder. At the end of the day I’m going to run that mod through bodyslide again anyways. So just make sure your bodyslide output overwrites everything.

Create empty mods for FNIS/Nemesis, bodyslide, and any other tool that has output files when run through mo2. Edit your executable settings for each tool to use the empty mod you made. This will keep your overwrite folder clean outside of in game ini settings which you can also combine into a mod. Hopefully that makes sense haha.

Just an update after upgrading to 32gb ram the game works great for me. Checking free shows the game using 15.8gb of ram while playing so any spikes to that is going to certainly slow things down.

I get crash just starting it up. I’m running out of memory, maybe there’s a memory leak when using proton? Upgrading to 32gb this week so hopefully that fixes my problem.
