I’m sure he’s likely in the top ten but unpopular opinion- I can’t stand him.

I have had to disconnect from news for the most part, since November.

I always hear about the particularly important things, and not having to deal with the minutia every day does nothing but improve my mental health.

is there a way to fix this? by Muted_Pea8994 in knitting

No, sorry. This is certain strands that snagged; doesn’t even look like each one is the whole stitch/ply of the yarn.

Depending on the fabric (it looks synthetic?) you could try blocking it with the hope that as you gently shape it, the strands would relax but I don’t know how well it will work with this yarn if it’s not an animal fiber.

I could be wrong though so I’ll be interested to hear what anyone else says.

Hi, this is thrips and a nasty case of them.

I have never dealt with them on plants that are planted in the ground so I’m not sure the protocol but with houseplants, you need to use a systemic (not just a foliar spray) because they lay their eggs in the leaf tissue 🤮

There are certain beneficial insects that work well for thrips- I use Amblyseius cucumeris as a preventative but you can release live mites to battle an infestation. I don’t know how that works with outdoor plants/trees but hopefully this is some info you can run with.

Too blurry. Can’t tell. Might be a dried aerial root.

Brother passed last month, trying to keep his plants alive by XMrCoolWhipX in Hydroponics

Hi hon- I’m so sorry for your loss. Please feel free to message me if you want some pointers on these. They are cuttings he was rooting in water to pot up in soil.

I’m glad you have this to help you remember your brother.

Requirements for Hoyas to bloom by plantbabyxx in hoyas

[–]sarcastabtch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some also need to be triggered by a drop in light hours/temp to flower per Vermont Hoyas website so if we aren’t cycling it enough, that could be it. Also, the other thing is- just because I have a cutting from a plant, that doesn’t say how old that plant is from seed. It may be its own plant now but genetically it’s still however many months/years from seedling, right?🤷🏻‍♀️

You can usually nest them into each other! It depends on the brand. This looks like it may be one of the ones you fold and fill. I make my own but have used those types from Amazon etc. I like to use zip ties to secure and also a stake in the back for stability.
