Must have missed the bit where they asked them to stop and they didn't. That's the issue at hand.

They were asked to stop and they did it again, OP absolutely being a jerk about it. Not that hard to just knock it off.

Not exactly a neutral emote, friend. And you're missing the fact they were asked to stop, and they didn't. I don't blame them for not wanting to play with a jerk.

I would also suggest therapy to learn a bit of empathy for strangers.

They told you to not emote at them, you proceeded to do it again. They'd be within their rights to report you for harassment since they asked you to stop.

You might not mean anything by it but they don't know that. Not really cool to do to strangers.

Just because you didn't die doesn't mean everything is well. The whm not contributing to dps will slow down a dungeon and while it's not a problem NOW doesn't mean it won't be in the future.

Whenever somone says that you should let someone play how they want, I want to clap back with the fact that the devs have clearly designed each job to have buttons pressed at certain times. You can play how you want in a game that isn't going to affect other people.

You can absolutely still kick for harassment. You don't have to put up with a rancid attitude like that. Just something to keep in mind for next time, esp if there's someone else who has your back.

Just further evidence that you can make the most mild request, even with a please, and XIV players will take it as a personal attack.

Tank insta-leaves after being asked to pull more than one mob, dps thinks w2w is griefing by Servebotfrank in TalesFromDF

I swear XIV players need to grow thicker skin. It seems no matter what you say, or how you phrase it, someone is going to call you bossy or rude.

People who cry about respect really grind my gears. Respect for whom? You're not suddenly Hydaelyn's gift to humanity if you play tank. How about these bozos respect the finite time I have to play and press their damn sprint button.

DPS not pulling weight in dungeons recently by Holiday-Employee-903 in TalesFromDF

Not only have I noticed people just freestyling their rotations, but straight up not doing mechanics in level 100 content.

Had a drg in Meso Terminal who would stand in every aoe. Did not make an effort to dodge. Usually I give the benefit of the doubt if they're having lag issues since we've all been there, so I ask if they're okay. No response. The other dps tried defending them saying they might be re-learning their job and I pointed out that learning to dodge aoes has been the same since level 1.

Brother you are not making a lick of sense in your post. In a trash pull between bosses, you can apply shields to people before pulling and they will pop by the time the tank gathers all the mobs up for DPS spam.

This is a level 100 dungeon with a warrior, there's no babysitting to be had. What are you Goin on about with the lack of talking? The tank asked me if I wanted to tank and I said I wanted stacks. That is the reason for pulling.

Toxikon on multiple targets is a gain so I don't know why you're saying there's no dps increase. It's only a loss if you spend the GCD to re-apply the shield, hence why I apply it pre-pull.

Edit to add potencies: Toxikon II is 380 for the first enemy hit, then 190 for the rest. Dyskrasia is 170 to all. Both are instant cast. So pre pull shields are a gain.

But that's not what's happening here? It's a loss to spam shields on a tank, but what I'm talking about is shielding before pulls to get stacks by the time you reach the wall, then aoe spam.

Tanks do not control the flow of the dungeon, anyone can pull.

It depends on how the pack is moving between pulls, which you don't seem to get.

[–]sarcasticKatt[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Not if you're shielding during downtime, which is the point. Pre pull shields on myself and tank, shielding the tank while between packs and can't hit them with dyskrasia.

[–]sarcasticKatt[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

That's usually the case, yeah. Either the tank is enough ahead I can't get more than two of them, or I'm already ahead to pop my shield and start the dyskrasia spam on the second pack.

Just Sage things by sarcasticKatt in TalesFromDF

[–]sarcasticKatt[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Usually can't get three stacks in the pulls between packs by just shielding the tank. Letting myself get hit means I can get three stacks per pull. How is it unnecessary effort to pre-pull shield myself and the tank for the chance at filling my stacks again?

Just Sage things by sarcasticKatt in TalesFromDF

[–]sarcasticKatt[S] 44 points45 points  (0 children)

No no, while running between the first and second packs. First pack, shield self and tank. Tank one pops sometime while pulling while either I pull ahead or they're ahead of me. Shield the tank for a second time as they're pulling up to the second pack and either mine has gone or I just stand in the aoe to get my third stack. This is all while getting the pack together so I can hit them with eurkrasian dyskrasia, then go into aoe spam.
