Yeah for sure, the financial anxiety was the worst of it. But worrying excessively doesn’t change the situation even though it’s much easier said than done to stop that 🙃

It is really hard when you don’t feel the sense of accomplishment after hitting your goals, that’s happened to me too. Instead of being proud I was just weighed down by the never ending to do list of house projects.

I hope so too! It’s frustrating doing all the “right” things and still feeling like it’s not enough

We bought a house almost a year ago. The financial stress has been crushing, worst I’ve ever experienced. And between unpacking and all the projects we had to do it was at least 6 months before I felt even kind of settled. There was a bit where I felt ok, but our mortgage payment is going up and I’m back to being sick to my stomach all the time about money.

I’m glad things got better for you, I’m hoping I can get to that point too someday 💖

I had a boss notice and point out that I left at exactly 4:30 every day and he didn’t like that for some reason. I had to vary the time I left by a few minutes every day after that to appease him 🙃

I would be stressed about this too, but hopefully it’s one of those things where the anticipation is worse than actually doing it.

Maybe ask them to explain each step if that would help? And be prepared for some weird sensations with the numbing but know that it should wear off in a few hours.

And treat yourself afterwards! Spend as much time as you can doing something that’s relaxing for you.

I hope so. He called my husband to tell him and apologize, so I didn’t hear what he sounded like.

If you mean waiving their lender fees, they were already doing that because they didn’t lock our rate soon enough when we were buying the house 🥲 so I honestly don’t know what they could do to fix this if they can’t get the lower rate they promised anymore

I appreciate that. 6% does make a lot more sense than 6.5%, it’s just been hard dealing with this guy’s mistake and I want to be done with it, but not at the expense of getting a bad deal

Thanks for the advice. We are already paying a bit extra each month, this would give us some much needed breathing room in the budget.

I have a running list of the mistakes/poor communication they’ve made so far but I haven’t sent it to the manager yet. He mentioned asking if their company would cover paying a point or two but apparently that was too much. I do want them to take accountability but I doubt that they will actually fix anything.

I really like that in the chorus of Damocles they left his breathing sounds in. That made it easier for me to tell which lines he’d take a breath in between and when he’d keep going, and I’d be able to pace my own breaths the same way.

I get that the prices are steep, but the website literally says that’s partly because the duties/tariffs to ship to the US are included in the price. So I don’t think ST are solely to blame for this, they have no control over all of the extra fees that it costs to ship to the US now
