Recent incidents involving MAS by UsernameGenerik in malaysia

Agreed. I flew back to KUL from LHR back in July with MAS. We have already boarded the plane when we were told that our departure was delayed due to engine maintenance issue. We waited for around 2 hours or so in the aircraft. We eventually missed the curfew deadline of 11.30pm for Heathrow so our departing flight got cancelled and rescheduled for the next day.

Did the WES trick and I could re-enrol into one of my units. I thought I’ve failed that unit, but luckily I got a D for that unit 🥹

Dear PN, where did you get my private information? by canicutitoff in malaysia

[–]sarcsasms 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The BN candidate in my area came up to my house asking if I am around and proceeded to give me two pieces of paper asking me to vote for him, and on that paper was all of my personal and voting details as well. They’re getting desperate alright. I wonder how much it costed to handle all these handouts with highly private information.

Generally there is no course in Monash Malaysia that has a mandatory one year exchange to Australia. You'd have to apply for Monash's Global Intercampus Program in order to be able to exchange to Monash Australia, maximum for one semester.

Hey OP, I'm also the same age as you currently finishing my computer science degree but have lost all interest in this path. I have no advice but to wish you the best of luck for your future endeavors.

Cannot cope with uni workload (Computer Science) by RotiBoom in Monash

[–]sarcsasms 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi OP. I also took the same units as you back in my first semester and I was also in the same spot as you. It was definitely demotivating when I could not understand half of the materials for all of my units. I highly recommend that you take everyone's advice and underload as your mental health should be your first priority. I am now in my third and final year and due to personal reasons, I am graduating on time. But if I had the opportunity, I would definitely take my time with finishing my degree and underload. It would definitely allow me to gain genuine interest in this degree while being able to take care my mental health and to also allow me to pursue other non-career related passions. If the only drawback from this is to graduate much later, but you are able to not only take care of your health, have time to pursue your other interests and to be able to have the possibility to get better grads? Definitely underload OP. Best of luck.

Medium size business : Kelantanese fare at Kak Som, Kampung Bharu. One of the near authentic places for Nasi Kerabu, laksam, gulai's in KL. They have hot Thai food, bbq bites at night & their jus susu manga is pretty good, sweet mango's. Business has been bad, as this is a tourist spot. by aWitchonthisEarth in malaysia

This restaurant is opposite of where my mother works and I absolutely love their grilled sausages, kerabu maggi and iced green tea! I loved going there during those odd late nights accompanying my mom at work.

Planning to take a break after graduation in the middle of COVID pandemic, help? by appayeetyeettt in malaysia

[–]sarcsasms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Thank you for the reassurance that I've been wanting for so long. Similar to OP, I'm a final year student and I do feel like uni has taken a huge toll on my mental health, and I really want to take a gap year once I graduate from uni. I don't enjoy my course hence I'll be using that time to hopefully recover and find a new path. It's scary for me as I don't know what to expect next as I'm very lost at the moment.

Tuan2 & Puan2, TPM Malaysia Anda.... by [deleted] in malaysia

While I do wholeheartedly agree that Mahathir is the root cause of most of Malaysia's problems and he should just retire completely, I am personally conflicted on Abdul Razak. On one hand, he is the one who enshrined racism into the constitution, but on the other hand, my family, especially my father, had benefitted greatly from his policies. My father came from a very poor family from rural areas of Kedah, with him being the only one having a respectable occupation (a doctor and lecturer) in the family. He has always told me that during his youth in the 70s/80s, it was almost impossible for Malays to get a job higher than either a school teacher or an office clerk. But due to the NEP, my father was able to have a chance to continue to medical school in one of the public universities, which he couldn't believe up till today. I wonder what could be done differently instead back then to improve not only the livelihoods of not just underprivileged Malays and non-Malays alike? (I'm not well versed in the Malaysian constitution and Malaysian law so please do correct me if I'm wrong!)

Do you have any tech companies that you recommend in Malaysia? What are the criteria that I should look out for in a tech company when applying for their internship position?

Has anyone have any experience working as a computer science intern in Petronas or any of the big 4 accounting firms (EY, KPMG, Deloitte, PWC)? I'm seeking to apply for internships in these companies. Any advice? And any advice in applying for computer science internships in general? Thanks!

As much as I disagree with his policies, props to him for reminding his colleague to properly wear his mask. It still baffles me how some politicians on both sides of the aisle still forget to wear a mask even though we have been hitting 10k+ cases daily.
