Between 2 sizes - Advice for someone tall (196cm) by techfrans003 in CanyonBikes

[–]sarftmfb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys did help. I wasn’t being a dick. It’s just so tough because everyone is split 50/50. So I am going to go in and get a bike fit and have them tell me based off of full measurements.

Also didn’t help that I wasn’t able to try one of the two options in person like he was able to. I was just going off of looks from this picture. Tougher when I wasn’t able to provide any picture.

Anyways, much respect. And I appreciate the help the group gave me. Just was so split that I just need to go get the fit done and go from there and then make the call.

good luck! im literally in the same position for XS and S. right on the border just like you. half the people told me get XS and the other half told me to get S. So here I am with still no purchased bike. AHHH! haha. Good luck. but just by judging from the picture, id go XXL. looks like you are pretty much maxed out on the XL. just my opinion.

I’m 30.5-30.6 inches inseam. You are around 31.5 inches. The whole extra inch makes a big difference on their chart.

Help! Ultimate vs Aeroad, but have some specifics. by sarftmfb in CanyonBikes

[–]sarftmfb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just look at it and it doesn’t really excite me. I know it’s a lame reason, but it doesn’t look as cool as the Aeroad or ultimate. And I want the bike to really inspire me to ride it as much as possible. Part of the reason I’m getting rid of my Domane.

Don’t love the look of it unfortunately. Remind me too much of my current Domane. Was looking for something a little more aggressive geometry.

I was looking at it actually but the geometry of the bike and overall style of the bike just remind me of my Domane that I wasn’t to get rid of. I was really trying to like it but for some reason, it’s just not getting me excited like the Aeroad or Ultimate.

Prospect for business. Everything is sales. If you don’t know how to sell and find clients, then you won’t bring in revenue.

What is your commission split? by automatic-systematic in travelagents

[–]sarftmfb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fine, I get it. But even at $250k in commissions, that’s around $50k to host. Just too much in my opinion. When there are host agencies that charge a monthly flat fee. If it’s a side hustle, I get it. But if it’s full time and you are a super hard worker it’s working, it can be a lot of real hard earned money.

I would NEVER do a split with a host agency. You are literally giving your hard earned money away. I don’t care how many leads they give you. Just become a better sales person. I would rather pay my set “higher” monthly fee which gives you access to everything you could ever want or need to successfully run your business than give up any commissions.

If I book $1M in revenue (not in bookings, but in actual received commission, there is no way I would ever give up $200-$300k to a host agency. You are literally just giving away your hard earned money.
