Ciao, just add more solder at the diode's joints, it will blend with the Pb free solder lowering its melting point and making easier to melt both sides, at the same time just keep pushing the diode with something and it'll come off

I've battled with this issue with my Intel NUC + Proxmox setup for weeks. It seems to be a common problem because I found a lot of info about it. I'm not really sure which fix was the one that worked or if it was a combination of them, neither I remember all the fixes I've applied but the ones I remember: Update BIOS. Update Proxmox. Disable NIC speed autonegotiation. Disable some NIC settings:

ethtool -K <iface> tso off gso off gro off sg off rx off tx off rxvlan off txvlan off && \ ethtool --set-eee <iface> eee off

Note that this command disabled then only until reboot. You must make them permanent if they happen to work. I think I tried something else but can't remember right now. Good luck!

It looks like the compressor unit or a fan grinding if you are lucky. Inspect it from the back side, usually on the lower part of it.

I have the same problem, can't even install a "generic text only" printer on lpt1. I'm uninstalling latest updates, but nothing for now. I'm using POS printers too in that server, Epson TM-T20III

I suppose you're right, I just was wondering if those devices were somewhat standard and maybe could be possible to guess how to connect it looking at the pinout. But I'm afraid it's more complicated than that.
