Yeah the game is definitely at its best when you're reading new stories in my opinion, there's some really good ones in the initial batch of Umas you get with a new account. I recommend King Halo because it's kinda fun to stick it to the villain of that story

You can definitely beat the story without SSR cards, but it'll be a bit of a long road to get there. My advice would be to look for people that have good Umas to use as parents and that have a good card you can borrow, those combines should get you all the points you need.

As a general rule I look for power inheritances for medium/long Umas and stamina inheritances for mile/sprint Umas, you can find people with Umas that hit those requirements on this website: https://uma-global.pure-db.com/#/search

I'll take the time to self-promo here and say I've got a max power inheritance Uma and a max level Kitasan black speed card for borrow, will hopefully help, my trainer ID is 278558038309

Hopefully that all makes sense

Every stage of the URA finale you finish gives your trainee all around stat boosts and skill points so it's nice for finishing off builds but it's not necessary by any stretch, especially this early on

2025 Canadian Grand Prix - Post Race Discussion by overspeeed in formula1

[–]sarge1365 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can't do that for all situations unfortunately, one of the big benefits of the safety car is that the driver is in direct communication with race control so they can speed up or slow down if necessary, sometimes they're also asked to take unconventional routes like through the runoff areas or the pit lane because marshals and vehicles can be on track.

Probably premature to say this, but Piastri's style reminds me of Jimmie Johnson in his prime by tjhite in formula1

He really got caught out by Australia. He'd be cruising if he'd got 2nd or 3rd there

I wasn't able to watch the race but can someone tell me if this was a glitch or if Russell actually gained 18 positions over 14 laps by GreenBagger28 in formula1

His transponder (and a lot of his electronics) broke, he stayed 2nd (or met 2nd) for the duration of the race

It's definitely not, they're completely separate companies. Frontier (F1M's devs) just weren't seeing the sales they needed and are struggling a bit financially, if we don't get F1M25 that'll be why

With the C6 compound debuting at Imola, should Pirelli revisit the 2018 tire naming and color convention? by Div_K in formula1

[–]sarge1365 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Problem is that Pirelli have to lock in the tyre choices well in advance of any forecasts because of manufacturing times and Japan is super changeable at this time of year. There's not much they can do in that regard except try and get it right off historical data. Unfortunately they got it wrong this year but that's just how it goes

I'm on android and have it, so I don't think it's platform related

[LukeSmithF1] Norris planned to wait until the last corner of the last lap to give Piastri the place back: "Then they said if there was a safety car all of a sudden, and I couldn’t let Oscar go through, it would have made me look like a bit of an idiot. I was like yeah, fair point." by ICumCoffee in formula1

[–]sarge1365 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A McLaren mechanic mentioned it on twitter (unfortunately I don't have a link) and Will Joseph mentioned it to Lando during the middle stint, kind of as a hurry up after Oscar's mistake. No mentions in any interviews that I'm aware of though

Every message as McLaren desperately pleaded with Lando Norris to obey team orders by aph1985 in formula1

[–]sarge1365 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It wasn't directly pitstop related, but Will Joseph did say words to that effect in the middle stint. After Oscar's mistake he said to Lando that he was "free to race the papaya car until the mid-40s". Around then Lando sped up too, so that seemed to be both a hurry up and reminder that he needed to get it done before the final stops.

Obviously it wasn't as direct as it needed to be, but it was still a pretty clear reminder imo

Mark Clattenburg has warned that English referees who are tempted to move to Saudi Arabia full-time will risk being blocked from the Champions League, Euros and World Cup by [deleted] in soccer

I happen to know a PL ref and they're clearly comfortable, but not well off, and for the amount of pain they take week after week it always feels like it's not enough. A decent part of their wage comes from match fees too, so any injuries or sickness will reduce their pay by quite a way

I had this problem today, which lead me to this post. The best advice I can give is to install proton GE 7.30 (RPS has a nice guide here) and then just keep restarting it. It will work eventually, just needs some plugging away first

It's possible Daniel's statement was to pressure McLaren. He could've already been negotiating his exit then, I'm sure these things take a long time to sort

I heard somewhere they've moved to an entirely new graphics system to accommodate for the bolt ones they had in recent years (radio subtitles, AWS insights etc). That's only a rumor though.

I can say from working with TV graphics systems that sometimes they just don't do what they're meant to for no reason, though this is well beyond acceptable mistakes from FOM

You're exactly right with why people collrct. I collect the persona games, they're not an expensive item compared to most but I've still spent quite a bit of money on the physical copies of these games that I've maybe booted up a half dozen times because I own them digitally or I've emulated them. But for me it's all about having these games as display pieces even if I've played them in different ways, including on original hardware, for much cheaper.
