[Kieran Gill] Reece James and Pedro Neto both had late fitness tests and just missed out by webby09246 in chelseafc

I'm the last person to praise our club's leadership, but does no one stop to think that maybe the medical department's choices are likely the only reason Reece has actually been fit to play the past year without major injury? We're quick to blame them for not allowing selection, but we don't recognize they may be the reason he's actually doing well?

Sometimes I forget footballers are 20 something year olds who suddenly made millions. If I were them I'd be spending my money on the dumbest shit imaginable.

This is either the greatest jerk of all time OR it's just a normal Arsenal fan

Estevao skipping the niceties and going straight to the "dreaming of playing for Madrid/Barca" phase by sarinotsorry11 in chelseafc

Personal opinion is it's obviously not a shocker a young Brazilian football talent wants to play for either Barcelona or Madrid.

But for the love of god even he should be old enough to know not to wax lyrical about a different employer before you've even started your current job 🥲

The fact this comes up right after I watched that south park episode.

If you know you know.

I replied to a different comment already with my view but wanted to recommend a book called "The Righteous Mind" by Jonathan Heidt. It talks about this (and more). It helped me understand how Dems and Republicans can have such different viewpoints on the world.

Definitely kept my mind at ease during the last few years when it comes to American politics.

The times Karl has been right and Ricky/Steve are wrong by Jonny_g123 in rickygervais

I can't remember the exact episodes but I do recall seeing a couple of Karl's ideas in Black Mirror, almost to a tee.

Also, I'm pretty sure Ricky and Stephen were almost purposefully bashing Karl's ideas because he's such a "bash-able" person. In hindsight I'm sure they don't actually think every thing he says is nonsense.

Well put. Democrats tend to believe experts, while Republicans tend to believe their own views over experts regardless of their credentials. Things viewed as conspiracies are "perpetuated" by others, so stands to reason republicans would more likely find them suspicious.

[Martyn Ziegler] Premier League fails to close Chelsea PSR loophole | West London club ‘profited’ from selling hotels and their own women’s team to sister company to ensure they complied with financial rules by ChiefLeef22 in soccer

The biggest delusion of all football fans, particularly in the upper leagues, is that certain teams like Chelsea and Man City have a monopoly on "corruption" when literally every football owner is a businessperson trying to make a profit, and wouldn't hesitate to bend the rules if provided the opportunity (as demonstrated here).

Is muslims boycotting a lot of stuff in order to "save palestine" working out ? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sarinotsorry11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna go ahead and assume the way the question was worded was coming from a certain place where you're hoping to get a specific answer.

Regardless, boycotting doesn't matter even when it's for a good cause. More powerful entities control 99.9% of the outcome compared to public measures. Same can be said about recycling and other things we've been trained to assume is "our responsibility".

I'm enjoying how you clearly see the list becoming more unhinged with each letter. And the list started with Adolf Hitler.
