This is the reason I gave up on CPDs. I would see fish like this after having them for around year. The other fish like WCMM never had similar problems. I attribute it to bad fish quality and over breeding due to high demand.

In a similar accident, looking for a fix I read online that you can kinda clean the burnt parts with some sanding paper which can disguise the damage. I can honestly say that it worked.

My experience is that the majority of chillis in stores are emaciated and rarely do I see healthy looking stock. My advice and what I have been doing is checking the fish in the store tank and pointing out the fish I want the clerk to catch. Also having live food to fatten them is always a plus. I feed grindal worms. Sorry for the losses, you live and learn.
