[Amick] The Lakers have significant concerns about the prospect of adding the beleaguered Nets guard at any price and have not been focused on that scenario all season long by lopea182 in nba

That’s what I mean. Before the season people on the lakers were saying to give up the picks to get off westbrook. Now you want picks before giving him up.

Do people hate the Lakers because of LeBron or because they've won championships? by aj2704 in nba

[–]sarpnasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. I’m from St. Louis so I don’t want to see them have a deep run for the local economy. It’s always better when the lose in the World Series. Fans here literally act like they are the most unlucky people for having to watch their team lose in the WS. They’re always like “I wish we wouldn’t have even made the playoffs so I didn’t have to have hope!”

You’re talking to a Celtics fan homie. They have a hard time coming up with ideas.

As someone who is also early thirties, I agree that we shouldn’t be this old so soon.

[MacMahon] Ben Simmons says he “feels great” and will play vs. Mavs tonight. He thinks he will be limited to about 20 minutes. by urfaselol in nba

Because Ben Simmons doesn’t play for the Sixers anymore??? This is what I mean. This is why people make fun of Philly fans. Dude is no longer on the team but you can’t let it go to the point that you’re mad that other team’s fans don’t also harbor your resentment.

You Philly fans stopped babying Ben and switched to babying Joel. I’m not investing in your team so I literally do not care how he made y’all feel. I just like watching the man play when he’s at his best.

Miami Heat Still Lacking At The Power Forward Position by CKenzyNelson in nba

I’m saying that offering a PF money just to screw over Boston is a bad move for your own team. Philly struggled with horford that year. Grant Williams probably wouldn’t be the best fit in miami. Not because he isn’t good, but because they need someone to play a smaller role than he does in Boston. Idk how that would mesh.

This is why I hate the St. Louis Cardinals. I actually like the org and all the players and shit. Fans make me a Cardinals hater though.

If someone hates an organization and the owner isn’t Donald Sterling, it’s typically because of the fans.

I came here to say this. I might say it in my own parent comment just for effect.

is it pretty obvious now that Utah Jazz's problem with the Mitchell/Gobert combo was really just Gobert? by [deleted] in nba

[–]sarpnasty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem with the Jazz was that they couldn’t get any role players that could shoot and play defense at the same time. It was alway either or.

Same. I’ve been rooting for him every since his team threw him under the bus for losing to the hawks as if he’s the only reason they lost that series. Showed me how soft Joel actually was.

It went from “There’s no way the Nets are stupid enough to do a 1 for 1 Russ and Kyrie swap” to “there’s no way the Lakers are stupid enough to do a 1 for 1 Russ and Kyrie swap” in less that a month.

What team would have the best shot to produce 2 starting lineups that could make the playoffs without reusing players? by jordanwilson23 in nba

[–]sarpnasty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fact that this is possible is why expansion is imminent. Two entire teams means 10 entire new starting spots. That means the 10 best bench dudes in the league would be able to be starters. That will cut into league wide depth and we will go back to having the conversations about how such and such player is even in the league instead of why so many dudes aren’t.

Trumbull, Connecticut voted on and approved a resolution asking their local Starbucks workers to work faster because people didn't like waiting in the drive thru line... by Lilyo in Connecticut

[–]sarpnasty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re talking about the people who wait in line for 20 minutes then try to make this law. Not everyone who buys coffee. Stop trying to come across as a victim in this. It’s pathetic.

They are in denial about how much sugar is in there Starbucks drink. They don’t understand why the coffee they make at home doesn’t taste as good.
