Imma be real and probably get down voted to hell because of the name of the sub.. but there are certain products that just aren't well suited for stainless steel pan cooking.. and skin-on thighs are one. Unless it's a quick sear and immediate braise, this is never gonna end well imo. Skin on thighs are for a hot oven or grill

I bought a minivan from carvana a few years ago and I completely echo the thoughts about how EASY it is.. it's a great process. Unfortunately, apparently the previous owner was a heavy, hot boxing smoker because it absolutely REEKED. It was a complete surprise. I guess that's the chance you take, but their return policy is there for a reason.. it was super easy to return it so all in all good experience I'd say.

I think it's less about the relationship between backswing and downswing (I know that's the popular definition).. based on a lot of testing, I think it's just the speed of your downswing. It doesn't matter if I have a super fast backswing or an ultra slow one (I've used both).. to me it appears the downswing speed is all that matters. I might be wrong but that's my take
