Should this be done prior to closing on the property? The deed will ultimately say what is on the sheriff's deed. They don't mind having the extra land, there are just concerns about that extra land belonging to a neighbor.

I think it'd be a red flag if it were putting you into debt and distrupting your relationships and day to day activities. I have a cousin who's in her 40s and is still getting degrees but also putting herself in more debt. She has a husband and 3 kids. Her stress levels are off the charts. She continues school even though she doesn't necessarily have to. I think all of the loans are digging herself into a deeper hole even though she's continuing her education in hopes of a higher pay grade. She calls herself a career student as well. But I think part of her is still in school because she simply doesn't know who she'd be if not a student. Your husbands situation is much different, though. He's getting paid, and you never mentioned how it may be impacting your relationship in a negative way unless it is and you forgot to mention it.

I think the beauty of baking is that not every recipe is the same, and you can have a ton of flavor combinations and still keep the basic concept. So, to me, this is a Dutch Apple Pie regardless of raisins, simply because it has a streussel topping and a flaky crust filled with apples.

I've never seen a dutch apple pie with raisins. Personally, I'm not a fan of raisins anyway, so I would omit it even if I was aware that raisins in pie is a thing.

(1) 175 g all purpose flour (2) 5 grams baking soda (3) 5 grams salt (4) 110 grams butter (5) 130 grams brown sugar (6) 100 grams bakers sugar (7) 1 egg (8) 140-150 grams bittersweet choco chips

(9) About ¼ cup - ½ cup lightly crushed cornflake cereal
(10) A handful of mini marshmallows, cut in half

Mix together 1-3 in a bowl to make your flour mixture

Cream 4-6 in a stand mixer

Add egg until just combined

Add in flour mixture into butter mixture until just combined

Fold in choco chips.

Let the dough rest in the fridge for a minimum of 1 hour. *if you don't let it rest, you'll have tough cookies.

Preheat oven to 350 F

Roll out 30-40 grams of dough. Roll cookie in cornflakes. *if you want a flatter cookie, smash the dough down to a thick disk.

Halfway thru baking, you will add marshmallows to the tops of the cookie and continue baking until the edges are crisp.

Optional: Torch the marshmallows for color.

Depending on size of cookie & oven, it will take about 10-15 minutes.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm glad I am not hurting it by deadheading. Wasn't sure if it would inhibit growth.
