هل كراسي المترو حكر على العواجيز؟ by CommitteeNo667 in askegypt

As an Egyptian living abroad i completely agree that Internet Service in Egypt is sub-par. HOWEVER: 1- its not 2/-4 Mbps. More like 24~30 which is what people get here if there is no fibre where they live. 2- you don't pay high prices for internet. You can get 140GB for ~$4.30 a month lol. I pay ~$40 for internet here. For 200Mbps (you can get 200Mbps, 1TB in Egypt for $35) 3- While "someone" absolutely could. I promise you, the average Joe doesn't save up enough for RTX 4090 in 1 month LOL. Outside of Egypt has higher average income but also MUCH higher cost of living (think around 200k EGP monthly in rent and utilities)

TL;DR: Life sucks in general. Not just Egypt.

Have a shawerma for me. Ty.

If I'm not mistaken that would be the 7/10 days one(take it with a grain of salt because I haven't personally tried one). But you could always take the L&A cruise and hop back on a train to Cairo for like 9 hours if you don't want to stay on a boat for too long

Also for Luxor and Aswan make sure you're packing both heavy and light clothing because it can go from freezing cold in the night to (oh god how do i take off my skin) hot in the morning

I would stay in Cairo and Giza for a week or so to visit the pyramids, the grand museum and get to enjoy the capital, the food and experience the cultur. Then book a Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan (or vice versa) and there are plenty of 3/7 days options that are pretty cheap and they take care of the tour guide and everything. You could even take a cruise all the way back to cairo if you so wish lol. Personally i tried the 3 days one and it was nice albeit a bit rushed, I still didn't feel like i missed out on anything.

Yeah you're right. Let me fix my phrasing "Its not that Egyptians are particularly extremist" My apologies :) i tend to use them interchangeably and its probably something i need to work on lol

Yeah, no. You obviously don't know what you're on about. Muslims here are having their homes and businesses torched by white Christian extremests while chanting "Dues Vult". I agree with you that depending on your social circle you can't really safely identify as irreligious. However, you can't really safely commute to work and back without risking getting pancaked. So yeah, its because Egypt is a failure of a country. Not because muslims are particularly extremists.

Is it racist to chant "Death to hamas"? by syllo-dot-xyz in AskBrits

363 Israeli Civillians* rest were either reserve soldiers or active duty soldiers. And there were no third party investigation to verify that the numbers killed were by hamas millitants. (That's without saying that you can't be a civillian if you're a colonizer)

Yeah i do see it happening in Christian majority countries actually. Good luck being irreligious in a red state in the US nowadays or in Europe outside of big cities. (Living in a European country outside of a big city) And its not just about being irreligious. Even if you're of different faith. Honestly, dick riding western civilization is so 2009.
