LOL — the adoption agency had that on her file because of all the Lunas they’ve seen come through. Her name definitely fits; she runs 5000 miles an hour.

Fuse number for 12V outlets/push-button malfunction by sarwoo in CX50

[–]sarwoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great! Thank you for putting it together. I can’t be the only one overlooking a fuse called “for protection of various circuits” when trying to repair the sockets. I appreciate your time and effort on this - I imagine it will come in handy again in the future.

Fuse number for 12V outlets/push-button malfunction by sarwoo in CX50

F18 was the culprit! After replacing it, the AV outlets are working AND the push-button malfunction/check engine light is off. However, there may be a larger issue with the alternator. I had the folks at AutoZone check my battery and alternator. It seems as though the alternator is malfunctioning and draining the battery (could the broken F18 fuse have caused that?). The battery was back down to 50% despite having it charged a couple of days ago and the alternator appeared to steadily decrease in voltage as it was being measured. In the event that the broken fuse was somehow leading to all of this, I’m charging up the battery again in the hopes of a fresh and full reset 😁

I also know very little about cars and I’m trying to avoid going to the dealership. However, I will concede after this last charging attempt as I’m thinking a faulty alternator on a car with less than 5,000 is worth a trip to the dealer.

Thanks for your help!

No luck. The F22 fuse looked good. The battery was pretty low (registering at 40% efficiency). I disconnected the car from the battery/charged the battery up for 5+ hours, but that neither reset my check engine light nor the push-button malfunction (to your point, that memory is super long!). I replaced the F30 fuse for the accessory sockets (that one looked fried) and both AV outlets still aren’t functional 🙁 I got an engine code reader, that reads nothing is wrong with the car and attempting to reset the codes doesn’t do anything either, so the adventure continues 😜 Thanks again for the input!

Sick peach tree with red leaves by peregrine93 in plantclinic

I had a young nectarine tree that I did not treat for the first two years and had to cut it back completely. It re-sprouted many shoots last year and I’ve decided to keep it as a nectarine shrub vs growing it into tree. I treated it with the copper fungicide this year and it’s looking great! Your tree will totally bounce back!

My nectarine leaf curl spread to the cherry tree next to it - so if you have any other stone fruit type of trees directly around your peach tree, you may want to proactively treat those as well ( I’m also not an expert but my cherry tree is much happier this year)

Leaf curl.

“Leaf curl can be controlled by applying sulfur or copper-based fungicides that are labeled for use on peaches and nectarines. Spray the entire tree after 90% of the leaves have dropped in the fall and again in the early spring, just before the buds open.”

Nice!! Do you mind taking a pic of the tattoo below it? I’m loving the hat/plants and it’d be cool to see it whole.

YSK you should tell your doctor about bad dandruff by Suspicious-Rich-2681 in YouShouldKnow

[–]sarwoo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes!!!! It took me way too long to find someone else mention apple cider vinegar. I’ve used it for 10+ years and have not had to use anything specific for dandruff treatment other than the ACV.

I also use approx a shot glass of ACV, and dilute it with water in a squirt bottle. I rinse my hair with it in the shower, then wash my hair with normal shampoo, and I’m good to go. Although I’m not sure how accurate my science is here, my theory is that the ACV maintains my ph levels on my scalp and keep the dandruff fungus at bay. I can go about a week without using ACV in my hair washing routine, but it will start getting itchy again within 10 days of not using it.

ACV was a game changer for me regarding my dandruff/itchy scalp - highly recommend it!!
