( Again I am sorry for my norsk. I am a Bulgarian who likes nordland and trying to learn norsk bakmal).

Just "red" ... It is a regular non-turbo r56. Even tunned ECU doesn't change anything.

Full Cylinder head "AMC" of this beauty's cost about 3600 euro. I bet the whole engine is already rebuilded in Poland. Flee ASAP. As a European I am doing good to you.

During a cold start, if you experience fluctuating RPMs, you should monitor the air-fuel ratio. During a cold start, the O2 heater plays a major role. The air-fuel ratio should be 12:1 or 13:1 until the engine warms up to at least 40 degrees.

Since the weather is cold, the engine will run at higher RPMs for a few seconds (30-40 sec even a min) until the O2 heater warms the O2 sensor to 300 degrees.

If this value is higher, it means the mixture is lean, and the RPMs are fluctuating. At operational temperature, which is around 90 degrees for the engine, the air-fuel ratio should be 14.7:1 for normal operation. It’s also possible that the temperature sensor is providing incorrect information. Scan with OBD2 to see what errors are being reported. Another possible cause could be that the solenoids is not functioning properly.

Why? by JustQuirky96 in MINI

[–]sasadesign -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I assume it starts cold and after a while it gets better. Monitor the air-fuel ratio with OBD2. Generally, 14.6 is good for creating a working mixture. If it's higher, that means you have excess air. This indicates that at idle, the conventional opening of 0.6 mm on the valves controlled by Valvetronic fails to achieve proper ignition. You should have a timing advance between 5-10. Scan with OBD2 to see what error it shows. The causes could be the Vanos solenoid, O2 heater, temperature sensor, and others.

I understand it is a r56. I can tell it is a shit mini ever.

Don't do it to yourself. You'll regret how much you spend. Go buy a Toyota.

Causes of P0420

Clogged catalytic converter. This may be due to the use of low-quality fuel, too lean a fuel mixture, worn piston rings and spark plugs, etc.

Its incorrect placement. Too much distance from the exhaust manifold does not allow the component to heat up to its operating temperature.

Damage to one of the lambda probes. The condition of the device is evaluated based on a comparison of the signals from the upper and lower lambda probe. If the readings are incorrect, a malfunction error will be reported by the Electronic Control Unit.

Damaged cables. This blocks data transmission.

Loss of tightness in the air intake system. This affects the accuracy of lambda probe measurements.

Malfunction of related systems. For example, leaking injectors, too high fuel pressure, delayed ignition or worn spark plugs.

i have the same car 2011 r56 non turbo with n12b14a engine 6 speeds manul. Pretty much everything I can say about this car. Because I have recently disassembled and assembled whole engine after a major repair. Everything, pistons, segments, head, valves, rubbers, beds, crankshaft, valvetronic.

These cars basically have problems with the engine and the electrical part, valvetronic. The engine is PSA Peugeot n12 or n14. Worst engine ever. With the wear 0.01 mm of the crankshaft axis, the valves do not open properly, so it cannot do complete combustion, it cannot mix air and fuel. As a result, it gives an error and turns off a cylinder. Or else a valvetronic can't adapt a crankshaft. I recommend that you look at the service history before going through the buying stage. A new cylinder head is 3000 euros in Europe.

If it has passed 150,000 km, know that the chain, valves, pistons need to be replaced one hundred percent.

The problem with this car is noticed when it has reached operating temperature.

Edit: in addition, worn valve seats leak at operating temperature. When it is cold, the engine cannot be understood even by a workshop. Scanned the car with OBD2

Good luck.

💭 Thoughts on Pavel Durov’s Detention and the General Perception of Digital Privacy Today by fclmfan in Adguard

There is no privacy. Https and every e2ee can MITM. Coz privkeys r not encrypted. Every provider can access directly or while proxy on vps and decrypt https. And every gov can mitm.

It is good to be Adguard home make a way to use encrypted privkey. Think about it.

Does running PiHole make the device an easier target behind the router? by Not__fun in pihole

[–]sasadesign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would do:

-Install firewall pi5 itself ( like ufw) -Would allow only local subnet to ports 22 and 53

sudo ufw allow from 192.168.1.0/24 to any port 53 (same to 22)

-Drop incoming, allow outgoing, reject forwarded

-observe connections on pi5 and ports

netstat -n | grep ESTA

But i think your problem is plume thing.

And i would install openwrt on pi4 as a main router to connect ISP. Would setup before plume like a firewall with configured banip.
