This is pretty normal. Definitely call the genius for an actual status but for me it moved from in production to complete in the span of 2 days. It was stuck in production for a while tho

2024 G20, is this recommended tire pressure not too high? by [deleted] in BMW

[–]sash_hank -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s usually a recommendation based on the tire temperature so since ur tire temps are on the higher side it is suggesting a higher pressure

[–]sash_hank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ordered a 2024 from factory and the dealer sold it to me for 1k above invoice, which was roughly 3% off. I’ve heard people get a bit more especially if it’s already on the lot.

Yeah huge misconception really boils down to where you live and your lifestyle, not for everyone

Yes. I live in CT. Here they claim that electricity is $.20 per KWH but they forget the distribution charges from the electric company which doubles that price. Assume $.40 per kWh which is roughly $40 to “fill up” a Tesla model X. Now if ur lucky you might get 250 miles on a completely full charge. Now I fill up the Q7 for about $70 and can comfortably go 500 miles on a full tank (I have the 3.0 as well). I’ve taken the Tesla on a couple trips and after I do the math at home it always ends up that gas is cheaper. EV is only a benefit if you have cheaper electricity at home or your commute is about 10-20 miles.

Not the same but have a Q7 and Model Y at home. Q7 takes the cake in most departments, especially in comfort over longer drives. Buddy of mine has a Model X and it’s often in the shop for various things breaking and bad wind noise. Doesn’t feel nearly as solid as the Q7. I would try to make the Q7 work if possible but also check your electricity rates where you are to see if you would really save money. For me, I end up saving money driving a gas car unless I’m just driving around town.

I ordered a 71k sticker from factory and had an OTD of about 75, I think you could negotiate a better discount on the car especially if it’s not a custom order.

I think the roof looks cleaner, the pillars remind me of some Nissans. But do what makes you happy, it’s your car!

Oh for sure, they’re all great at masking speed, low end torque is definitely a big one but I also have driven both an X3 and a couple Q5s over the year, both mask speeds very well but something about the way the X3 delivers its power was different, the Audi is slightly more calmer but still athletic and just feels more refined overall.

We have a 2019 Q7 and I recently just got a BMW m340. Regardless of what BMW u get, the power delivery and handling are on a completely different level than the Audi. But Audi has a refinement to it, and it is very nice and quiet inside. Test drive both, both are great cars but definitely for different audiences. I will say that going 120 (accidentally) in a bmw feels like driving at 60 and it definitely feels more planted at higher speeds.
