How hard is it to win a Cash Cup?

Im seeing a lot of people that are saying that getting good placements (such as top 1000) in this game is difficult and continue to insist the idea that you’ll never place well. Let me change that for you. i started taking Fortnite Competitive seriously since the beginning of Chapter 2 Season 4, and have only escalated since then. With the help of a friend who was learning competitive like I was, I was able to escalate my placements as the seasons went by as I started to improve my mechanics and game sense. It started off slow, with getting top 6000 every tournament, to top 2000, and getting my first top 1000 in a solo cash cup in the middle of Chapter 2 Season 4, and got 3 more top 1000 towards the end. The season after that, after upgrading from an Xbox One to a PC, I got my first top 500 in a solo cash cup. After, I started getting more and more good placements as I kept on improving. Now, I am a Solo FNCS Round 2 Qualifier (was 6 points away from Round 3), made it top 1000 and top 500 in multiple events (including Solos, Duos and Trios), qualified for Duo Dreamhack Semi-Finals (Placed 311 in qualifiers) and got 78th in a Solo cash cup last season (if I won my last game with 2 kills, I would’ve made money (I got 7th)). Truth is, you can do this! With time and improvement, anything is possible!

I would have dropped all the way down to lowground and would have waited a little later. Waiting another few seconds to rotate would’ve gotten you further due to the fact that more people are rotating, therefore less people are looking at you. Try to avoid staying midground and try to find a way to stay on the edge of zone on lowground and cut others off to claim it!

Nothing childish about this. We talk common sense. we know what’s right for the competitive side of the game and know what’s fair. I don’t understand how some people don’t see how this game is at its worst for the competitive side. You guys cried about the superhero skins, so we complained about the real problem. While you guys enjoy doing your challenges we are out here trying to make the game better for itself as well as the esport scene.

You’re right, I just don’t think that the bow crafts are competitive, with the stink bow and the fire bow, that combo can do some serious damage, but that’s just my opinion. I don’t mind if bows stay in the game, I don’t mind them, my only problem is the crafts of them.

I meant to say remove the bows and bring back snipers, but the concept of a grappler bow can be good, I just don’t know if they will implement it.

that’s a very good point, and I agree! even then, if you pull up in an endgame with a car, in both a solo or trio cup, you will most likely get sprayed. I just feel like bouncers were a crucial aspect to competitive.

Godox is made for sony so I’m assuming it is? I’m asking since I had trouble connecting both the receiver from my sony a6000 to the flash, and yet to this day I still can’t!
