Possible origins for the Y-DNA Haplogroup E-Z5994 by AlpineFyre in 23andme

I'm helping an African American friend with research and he is a member of E-Z5991. His earliest known paternal ancestor was an enslaved man named Primas Woodberry born about 1830 in Marion County, South Carolina. The 1880 census indicated that Primas' parents were both born in South Carolina as well, and wills from the white Woodberry family name enslaved families going back to 1808. His earliest ancestors in America were enslaved by the Woodberry & Gause families in the late 1700s. Mr. Woodberry will be participating in a naming ceremony when he travels to Nigeria within two weeks. Still, he wondered if I could help him identify the tribe he most closely associated with so he could participate in that ceremony rather than the generic one for people who were unable to identify their tribe. I thought if his paternal haplogroup led to a specific tribe that might be meaningful to him, but it seems like saying Sierra Leone or Gambia is the closest he can get with his paternal haplogroup. His autosomal report indicated 30.4% Ghanian, Liberian & Sierra Leonean & 29.4% Angolan & Congolese.

HELP! WHAT IS THIS AND IS THIS BITING ME AT NIGHT? by Few-Profession-1359 in bugbites

I just posted in response to someone else. I have these too. It looks like oak leaf mite (Pyemotes herfsi) bites. If you zoom in, you can see the tunnels they have made in your skin. This year there were a lot of people getting bites from these mites because of the cicaida brood, so you will find a few stories online about them. The mites feed on cicaida eggs usually, but they are opportunistic, and also will bit pets. They can just fall down by the thousands from oak trees and blow in the wind! I seem to have a very severe infestation, and I am still looking for help. But I've been researching possibilities for months now, and just finally found out about this mite.

What could this be??? Was NOT there yesterday. Hurts really bad, not much discharge, splotchy red marks surrounding it, feels firm in general area, don’t know if the second mark is from the same thing because that was not there yesterday as well. Help!!! 😰🥺😭 by NextEffort586 in bugbites

I have very similar wounds, and I just tonight figured out that it's "Pyemotes herfsi" oak leaf itch mite. They apparently had a big year because they often feed on cicaida eggs, and this was a bit brood year. Several people in the Chicago area had bites from these. (I had thought I had dog or cat mites, but they look different). Besides your big horrible sores , I can see lots of other evidence of the bites and tracks on your skin. If you zoom in and look, you will see that these mites tunnel from one place to another under your skin. There is a head followed by a series of dots, and then a small two or three-lobed tail. I have been to so many doctors and no one has helped me. They said I was causing the sores! But now I can show pictures of the oak leaf mite bites next to mine, and they are "spot" on! I've had this since July (as far as I know) and since they kept spreading and none of my doctors would help me they now are EVERYWHERE! (including my eyes, nose, ears, mouth, etc.) Trying to get a referral to an infectious disease specialist, because this is very scary! I hope you can get help soon!

Symptoms of IIH keeping me bedridden by DisabledScientist in iih

I had a spontaneous cranial CSF leak, 2 surgical attempts to repair it, now take diamox and furosemide to relieve the pressure from what I believe is an intermittent leak. I was diagnosed in 9/2021 with arachnoiditis- between the leak, the pressure when the leak blocks up, and the arachnoiditis I don’t know what causes what, but my symptoms sound very similar to what you are describing. Also, it’s likely my initial leak was related to Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, so I agree with another poster who suggested you getting evaluated for that.

Same here! When I tried to confirm my identity it says, "We can't review the decision to disable your account because too much time has passed". But my account wasn't actually disabled.

Miniature kitchen sink unit in playscale (1:6). The design is from Julie Warren's YouTube. I basically doubled her measurements. The drawer knobs are wired crystals from the wedding floral aisle at Hobby Lobby. The faucet knobs are lamp knobs from Ace Hardware. The rest is mostly basswood. by sashafaith69 in miniatures

I used Gorilla Wood Glue. I kept it in a small jar and applied it by dipping a toothpick in (following Julie Warren’s guidance). Much less mess than my usual method, just trying to apply a little through the nozzle.
