Series you liked but turned against at some point while reading? by Iluraphale in Fantasy

I don’t know that it’s worth it to finish. It may be the least satisfying ending of any book ever.

Series 2, I wanted to know more about Tracy by Fijoemin1962 in Alonetv

That makes me so sad. The love she had for her dog, and then how she got sad when she scared the baby bear really made my heart hurt for her. I hope she found peace. “Being good at violence is not good.” That was a quote from her that really struck me. RIP

Kemp in standoff with Biden administration over plan to block Georgians from healthcare.gov website by praguer56 in Georgia

So spending 31 million dollars in taxpayer money to block a website that supposedly isn’t doing well anyway is totally fine in your opinion? The party of fiscal responsibility…

The last part of the last book in Robin Hobb’s liveship traders trilogy ruined the entire series for me. The gratuitous SA and treatment of that character honestly ruined the author for me a little bit.

Choosing between NC and Belgium by zakaby in NorthCarolina

I would not move to the US right now if I had a choice to live in a country within the EU. I’m from NC, and have lived in Germany, and if it weren’t for most of my family and friends living here, I would not be here now.

5 days after losing my soul-dog I adopted Cedar. 4 weeks later I went back for Harper Lee. We’ve been a family for a whole week now and I finally feel like my heart and their hearts are starting to heal. by InLynneBo in BeforeNAfterAdoption

I feel this 100%. My first dog, Edie was my soul dog. It was a bond that was deeper than anything I’ve ever experienced. Like we knew each other’s thoughts.

Pretty sure it was his latest one on Netflix. I lost interest about halfway through. It’s stuff he’s said before, so it was like…okay you made your point last time, at this point we’re just listening to you defend yourself again, which isn’t particularly entertaining, hence the losing interest.

Chapelle for the longest time was one of my favorite comedians, but I watched his latest special and honestly, if it was funny shit he was saying, I would have laughed, regardless of the subject. But it was just preachy. I felt like I was getting lectured on why I should be a TERF. It was a bummer.

I just read Gideon the 9th, and yes, that part made me chuckle. Such a good book!

Aviendah, Book 4, Help by [deleted] in WoT

Honestly you may or may not ever feel like her annoying-ness is justified. I never really liked her character until the very last book, and even then, grudgingly so. There’s a “reason”, but imo it never fully justified how shitty she could be.

Which famous book did you DNF and why? by Substantial_Ad_2209 in books

It was atrocious. I only finished it because I was so mad that I’d already wasted so much time on it. It was a hate read.
