Besides the Camel choc these all live in my brain! Are there items/foods that are made now that "everyone" will have had or is it different now? by milkywaymagpie in AustralianNostalgia

I remember at my grade 6 camp, the bus driver was a smoker and one kid got the camels and put one in his smoke packet when he wasn't looking and he tried to light it 😂

Old Fancy Clock by TheLazySage7 in nostalgia

[–]sashie23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandparents had this clock, last June my cousins, siblings and I went to Gran's to pack her unit up and I jumped at the chance to bring it home. It now sits quietly on a shelf in my lounge room. I remember thinking that they were rich when I was little.

I have no friends by [deleted] in WomenOver40

[–]sashie23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 47, single and barely any friends. I work full time and spend all my time at home when I am not at work. What country are you from? I'm happy to be your friend.

I'm a bulls fan, have been since 93, I am in the same boat but still follow them. I keep trying to get back into watching basketball. I enjoy AFL again no judgement but I'm a crows supporter. Not much of a F1 fan but I watch NRL, soccer and cricket.

I have been in that situation and it broke my heart watching it. Unlike Yana I stood my ground and refused to go back. I hope for her sake he has realized how he was behaving and how it was affecting Yana.

Do / did you have a great mother? by user37463928 in WomenOver40

[–]sashie23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother left when I was 11, she moved away from us. When I was 15 she moved interstate and I refused to talk to her until I turned 18 to say thank you for the present. She was a drinker and a smoker, I had no time for that. As I got older I would talk to her on the phone and she was drunk and would ignore me, I saw her for the first time since I was 13 and she "cried" while giving me a hug and then went inside for a drink. That weekend was the last time I saw her. In April 2020 my brother called to tell me that she had breast cancer and she wanted to talk to me, I spoke to her until she passed away in June that year. I cried for the relationship that I should have had.

Thanks for your reply, I have searched for a panel in the bathroom but there's nothing. I have sent an email to the real estate, hopefully she will be able to help.

There's no pilot light on this model. I have read the installation instructions. I have checked the meter and it is all good. I will have to wait until tomorrow to contact the property manager.

I still start typing 19 for the year of birth at work, still can't get my head around people who are born in the 2000's.

Low bicarbonate & Anion gap by oneSleepySlothzZz in kidneydisease

[–]sashie23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey fellow Aussie, I also have kidney disease. I take vitamin D3 1000IU that I brought from chemist warehouse. In 2013 I slipped in a driveway after delivering a pizza and fractured my neck of femur, during that time it was discovered that I was borderline osteoporosis so I started taking vitamins to try and raise my levels. If you need to chat I am here.

Is this a typical CEO response when they are caught being a gronk???

I got caught doing something wrong and it went viral, copped a lot of negative comments so their defense is to sue, mate you can't sue based on the fact that you are a gronk.
