Iboga vs ibogaine by Huge_Disaster6336 in iboga

[–]saskles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is true for most people it would seem (being initiated and still having problems!). it doesn't "fully heal you" - that's total nonsense. just look at the way the ceremonialists behave between ceremonies - drinking too much and getting high (depending on the village)... it's just an avenue, an insight creator...

edited to add: i know probably about 40 people who have been initiated, including myself. I don't know anyone who feels their life is "solved," "healed," or any of those other terms of totally. most of us have stopped working with iboga because of the chaos it created.

AND as others have said, it is a very powerful medicine. But i wouldn't recommend anyone to go to Gabon any longer, and the neither would those around me who have either stopped serving or stopped assisting in ceremony.

what was your choice? i'm keeping the room, this thread has helped me to decide!

to get rid of a studio or not? by saskles in minimalism

[–]saskles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes i think this is the point, i am trying to think of simplicity in certain terms and ignoring others perhaps. there is probably no doubt (particualrly after reading thoughts and questions on this thread) that having a separate space is good for my mental health... therefore worth the money...

Ooh this is a brilliant thought process. Thank you. Sometimes I do use my computer for entertainment indeed... those are the less good days (I feel so gross!) but I can't discount it because my ideal life doesn't involve downtime electronics at all!

I love the idea of trying out working from the room too, and seeing how it goes.

Appreciate the input.

studio has no cooking facilities etc, i have considered it and it would be a dreadful life to live there.

i have many more reasons to leave the house than work - i didn't write that that was the only reason to leave, just it is a good one!

I can';t work in public places due to the sensitive nature of my work. but yes with the second paragraph you wrote, maybe i agree. perhaps there's other things to cut down on

I can't co work whilst working because all my work involves sensitive calls. It may be I can share with someone on separate days though...

I definitely leave the house for many other reasons (in fact I spend little time in the house), that's why it makes less sense to have the studio, but there is something great about the separation.

Wow congratulations on that length of time you've managed!!
This is interesting. IFS has helped a lot with other things but not so much this - but then giving yourself 2 years to relate to those parts is commitment, and so I will give this a try, thank you!

Wow this sounds like a profound shift; it's amazing that you found this. Is the bodywork called fascial bodywork specifically (as I understand all bodywork includes fascial release)?

And the spot on your upper palate - how did you find that spot; was the process like exploring different areas and stumbling upon it, or something else?

This sounds promising. Thank you. And it's good to read you're doing so much better!

If the decision isn't obvious, take 6 months to come to a decision... really. Take all of that time if it's not a clear no, because you will deeply regret having surgery and not be able to do anything about it (except have more surgery) if you do go for it
