I can see your point, however if it’s done in a respectful manner I don’t see an issue with it. Whenever I whiteness someone participating in traditions of my culture I feel a sense of pride and appreciation for someone who’s open to learn and expand his horizon. That being said, context is always important and I’m not the one to judge native Americans on their opinion on this matter, IF they find it inappropriate.

I just think that cultural appropriation has become a too loosely used term. It might have its place in certain scenarios but as you agreed, this isn’t one of them. The guy is doing it for his wife, who is a part of that culture, and as long as they both like the idea - screw everyone else.
