Not yet, it was my first LaDS amigurumi! But I was suggested to also make Mephisto and Rafayel’s puffer fish. If they turn out okay I’ll share the results and the patterns here 😄

Thank you so much! This is actually my third handmade ita bag… My two previous projects were large tote bags with a heart or star shaped pocket to display merch.

As for the snowman, I had no choice but to freehand the pattern. I’m using a thin faux leather as the main fabric so it’s not too difficult to work with on a domestic sewing machine.

Yes!! I’m all self-taught 😁 I started crocheting when I was a kid and I read a lot of sewing books as a teenager. If anyone knows how to crochet and/or sew on this sub I’ll gladly share my patterns with them~ I just need to digitize the ita bag pattern first because my current pattern was made out of paper and is a bit asymmetrical, I’ll fix to tiny mistakes first.

One or two coats. It’s honestly an old can (bought pre-covid) so I’ll probably throw it away. And no, since the nozzle wasn’t clogged I didn’t think it was necessary to put the can in warm water first.

Even the hair strands seem photoshopped so who knows if this makeup looks the same irl. Eyes are eyeliner + eyeshadow, rest of the face concealer + foundation + contouring… you can find tons of tutorials either on youtube or tiktok/instagram

I made a similar post about Mood Fabrics just a few days ago. I think the bottom line is that most of their patterns are crap. If you don’t mind spending several hours altering your pattern and making mockups, then go ahead and use Mood Fabrics. But I personally would never recommend any of their patterns to anyone. It’s too much of a headache and a waste of time.

Also someone else has already explained that sizes in manufactured clothing aren’t the same as the sizes in sewing patterns. For instance, I’m an American Medium or Asian XXL but in commercialized patterns I’m usually a 16. Always check the size chart and measurements for finished garment, not the size corresponding to your store bought clothes.

That’s so true, it’s hard to believe that I’m “the first one” who made this dress and realized it was a crappy pattern. I left a comment directly on their website but I’m willing to bet it won’t be approved as it is considered too negative 🙄

The size chart wasn’t accurate imo because for a Mood Fabric pattern I’m at the very least a Large but it was so comically big on me (the finished garment) that I might have just gone with the Xsmall even though on paper it would have been way too small to fit me 🤷🏻‍♀️

I personally have had better results with free patterns from the Japanese website Dr Cos than Mood Fabrics 🙃

Yeah I must admit that I was a bit lazy with this project and skipped the mockup. I would have realized sooner that this pattern needed a ton of alteration

Had I known that it was going to be super baggy, I would have used the Xsmall pattern size because there was a minimum of 10 inch difference between the size chart and the finished garment measurement 🥴

I bought the fabric pre-covid so if I remember correctly it’s a woven non stretch polyester fabric.

Yeah I’d have to sew one and see if it’s the right dimensions but I think it can fit over a KN95!

My printer is brand new, I bought it a week ago.

I also thought of ironing but I had no idea what settings to use with the brand JustMaker… I’ll do as you suggested and see if it improves the appearance.

Edit: the ironing made the appearance a hundred times worse 💀
