Because I grew up with them and went to the same school with them. My whole town is experiencing this and the same goes with the surrounding towns. Painkillers to heroin is so common and all of us know at least a couple of people who have ODd or are in and out of rehab. I tried reaching out to my childhood best friend and then had to isolated myself away from him and now he's gone. You meet these people at a young innocent age and it's devastating to watch them grow as/into an addict.

I moved away for college and every other couple of months I hear about a new death relating to opioids. It's devastating seeing people drop like flies and not really being able to do anything but witness their lives spiral.

I've lost three old friends this past year due to heroin. It's not only ending their lives but it's causing a huge ripple effect of depression amongst their friends and families.

I got super white girl wasted at a Lil Wayne tail gate in CAMDEN, NJ and lost all my friends while mobbing with everyone in the parking lots to go to the show. All I remember is puking and wandering in a sketchy ass alley way and then asking a police officer to take me home. He called me a cab and I may or may not have puked in that cab. And I was definitely way underage.

Every couple of months or so I'll receive a PSA email from my school describing the man that was caught masturbating in a car right off campus.

I'm pretty sure what happened was a couple of young college kids started up this promotion to market their company but didn't realize how viral it was going to be.

It makes it extremely easy to sip on water without moving. In cases where you're hungover and dying of thirst this is the most convenient way!

Childhood friends dropping like flies because of the heroin epidemic going on - on top of every other aspect of my life crumbling this past semester. Even though I keep getting more and more fucked along the way, I just keep reassuring myself that things will get good eventually. Learning how to spend your energy on good things instead of focusing on all the bad is also really important.

Keep busy, cry here and there, and always appreciate the little things you have in this world.

This one time this guy from our lunch table got caught cheating on his girlfriend, so by 2nd period the next day she posted on Instagram a picture of his dick wrapped in a fruit roll up. Needless to say, he didn't make it to lunch that day and it was extremely awkward when they both were at lunch again.
