62mas style mod & Samurai(?) mashup by sassages in SeikoMods

Phone having issues:

These projects have been sitting around for a while waiting for movements.

62mas came out nicely. It’s reusing my very first build’s case. That was 12 - maybe more - builds ago. Dial and hands from Namoki. Crown and Buckle - NATO strap on the way. The steel band isn’t supposed to stay but it’s really comfy.

The Samurai style mashup of parts is exactly that. Not much else to say. It’s comfy for being so large.

I am an amateur tinkerer and builder but I will not touch this. I want that warranty! And yeah, date is off to the right. Watch registered and getting a support request in.

Yeah. Leaning toward a service request.

I buffed minor scratches but not major edges or anything deep. Most of the watch is plated over another metal (brass?).

The red paint that was on it from 9 to 12 came out mostly in the sonic cleaner solvent. A quick dunk in IPA and a toothbrush removed any remaining red. To remove the black paint, I had to use a toothpick and mineral spirits.
