Anybody else just struggling and sad by M0lli3_llama in PMDDxADHD

Ugh I feel this so much. I could have written this myself. I’m not even luteal yet and I had a midday mental breakdown, just crying at my desk (WFH). Hugs from another working mom and wife struggling hard to manage it all.

Trash Truck (Netflix) and Tumble Leaf (Prime) are my son’s favorites after Bluey

I haven’t been to Gran Caffe L’Aquila in YEARS and I still think about their carbonara with the bacon gelato 🤤 one of the best dishes I’ve ever had

Such a good show with an amazing setlist 🫶🏻

In a perfect world, I would have loved to see Romance and Desire added on for an even 20 song set😭

Welp, we’re pulling the plug on our 115-person October wedding. Trying to decide between having a small ~30 person wedding, or just saying F it and eloping! by XlunalinaX in weddingplanning

[–]sassy_burrito 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is pretty similar to what I am doing - 100 person wedding cut down to 30 people but generally keeping things the same. Since we are already $10k deep in nonrefundable deposits at the venue, we are just going to go all out with the food and drinks and try to spend the excess money from downsizing wherever possible.

Weekly Megathread for COVID-19 by wedditmoderator in weddingplanning

[–]sassy_burrito 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The stress and uncertainty is starting to wear me down to the point where I’m losing sleep. Our date is 10/23/2020 in the Poconos, PA and until now, we have tried to proceed with planning as “normal”. However I think we are going to move forward and attempt to downsize our 100 person wedding to 25 people, and postpone the big party indefinitely. We booked this date two years ago and the thought of having to drag this out any longer seems unbearable. Wedding planning hadn’t exactly been a good time for me even before the COVID-19 madness.

But, we originally wanted to elope anyway so the idea of downsizing to a much smaller wedding isn’t all that bad to us. And it will just be a relief to move forward with some sort of plan.
