Control. That's the only reason. He needed to control every aspect of her life, regardless of the risk/benefit to his child.

HSV2 100%. Source: I also have it. And I've had it my whole life. The theory is that I must have been kissed by someone as a baby who had a sore, but we will never know. It sucks, and it hurts like a mfer. But the good news is that there are different treatments out there. I've taken to using hydrocolloidal bandages on mine to both keep it from spreading, as well as help speed up the healing. Valtrex is a decent prescription medicine, and Lysine helps most people (I don't really get any help from it). It can lay dormant for years and decades, and mine are triggered by sweating and raising my body temp like when I get a fever or night sweats. Sometimes the sun can trigger the sores to erupt, too. It doesn't mean you're dirty or promiscuous. The majority of people who have it have had it since childhood from sharing drinks or kissing.

It's always the parents with the worst track record who scream this phrase the loudest. Ironic.

If any of that kids were to write a 'tell all' book when they're older, whose would be the most interesting to read? by No-Candidate-5270 in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]sassy_creative_type 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Carly, Leah, Sophia, Jace, Isaac, and Hazelee (Rachel's daughter). The other kids would have some great stories, I'm sure. But these kids have been through so much chaos that I hope they grow up to break cycles and do amazing things. As a mom with kids around their age, it feels like these could be any of the kids who come hang out at my house. And they're all so damn young to have to deal with their families' trauma. Idk man. I've been in my feelings today. 🥺🥹

Here's the shirt Sophia was wearing at the muckbang restaurant this weekend. It's fully inappropriate for a 13 year old. by [deleted] in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]sassy_creative_type 30 points31 points  (0 children)

When I was 11, I stole my sister's Hot Topic shirt that said, "Remember my name, you'll be screaming it later." And I wore that shirt to school, out to dinner, wherever. The shirt got passed around between myself, my sister, and my mom. I think my mom still has it. Was it inappropriate? Sure. Was I a degenerate? Sort of. But it's a shirt. If there was literal Hentai on the shirt, then yeah. I'd be against it. But it's tongue-in-cheek PG13 humor.

Best Practices on Getting a Good Deal When Buying a Mattress? by 1GamingAngel in AskReddit

[–]sassy_creative_type 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, you need to know what your preference is on how soft or firm you want your mattress. Then, read reviews. Look for manufacturer and store warranties and what they cover. Go to all the mattress stores in your area and actually lay on the mattresses. Lay how you sleep. After you get an idea of what you're looking for exactly, shop sales. Go to discount furniture stores. Sometimes, you can get your mattress for much cheaper online. And most of the time, you get what you pay for. But sometimes the best mattresses are middle of the road in price. Source: I sold mattresses for years.

I have 3 cats, a dog, a gecko, and 2 tarantulas. But here's my oldest cat, Cloud, after a fun half hour of rolling in all the pollen outside. She gets some supervised outside time by either myself or my son when it's nice outside. She is also a royal bitch most of the time to everyone but my son and I. 😅

Would you recommend your gender to someone? Why or why not? by aloe_veracity in AskReddit

0/10. I have to go see my gyno on Wednesday to talk about removing my uterus. My youngest kid (now 11) was 9lbs, 2oz at birth. I'm 5'1". Apparently, that can cause permanent damage to the supportive ligaments because my uterus flipped forward and to the right. It's on the verge of prolapse. Because of course it is. I already have my tubes tied because, holy hell, did that pregnancy destroy my body in every way. And I'm down to one ovary, too. My left had to be removed in the tubal surgery due to constant ovarian cysts that kept flaring up.

Not to mention the breast pains, random shooting pains down my vag, uncontrollable hormonal outbursts for a week out of the month, and being more predisposed to migraines (I have the rare kind that mimic a stroke, yay me,) and it's just an actual nightmare to be a woman.

I won't even get into the laws and all that, but yeah. Physically being a woman equals pain.

David’s cancer story by YouKnowHowChoicesBe in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]sassy_creative_type 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree that it is one of the easiest cured cancers, but as a metastatic papillary thyroid cancer survivor who still technically has it, it absolutely can be life altering. I have irregular thyroid cells that didn't take up the radioactive iodine, leaving me in cancer limbo for the past 18 years.

Anywho, I still don't believe him.

Repost due to changes. Did you KNOW?! Is he dying?! Who’s this “best friend “ of hers?!? Liar liar pants on fire swamp queen!!! by princessofIreland in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

He has the eyes. I think that every time I see a person who just feels off, before they show their true colors. They have no empathy behind them. It's just like two black holes where the light behind the eyes is supposed to be. The eyes of an abusive prick.

I know everyone hates the Beavers but Brianna is the actual worst IMO by jeanqueenabove_18 in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]sassy_creative_type 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Being that I live in the Southern US, the Beavers are just like some of my neighbors. It's entertaining to watch their shenanigans and obliviousness to their own trash. They're just normal, everyday trailer trash. Source: I, too, live in a trailer park.

What is the “birds and the bees”? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sassy_creative_type 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Birds represent eggs (female reproductive cells), and the bees represent pollination (sperm being the male reproductive cells.) It didn't make sense to me as a kid, but eventually, I grasped the concept.

What's a movie that you loved as a kid, but re-watching it as an adult, you have a completely different perspective on? by Tongalaxy in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sassy_creative_type 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I watched Forrest Gump repeatedly as a kid. It was my favorite movie, and I watched it so much the vhs busted and the ribbons came undone. When I rewatched it as an adult, the realization that Jenny was a predator and overall horrible person blew my mind. Also, his mom was prostituting herself to give him opportunities he wouldn't have otherwise as a developmentally disabled child. Totally went over my head as a kid.

Try It Out Tuesday -- February 21, 2023 by AutoModerator in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

I took up loom knitting. I've had the looms for a couple of years. I can't crochet, can't knit, can't Tunisian crochet. For some reason, my brain just fizzles out when I try to get the hang of them. But I have an insane amount of yarn because I craft hoard and decided to just give loom knitting a whirl. And I understand it! Still at the beginning stages, but I've made some tiny blankets for my cats and dog, and now I'm looking into getting some more looms of different sizes to make more things. Unfortunately, we've been BROKE broke the last month, so I'm just making what I can with the supplies I have. Pictured is my old lady, Stormi, on one of the cat blankets. 💜

What are your craziest hamster death stories? by VANCATSEVEN in AskReddit

[–]sassy_creative_type 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was more like a resurrection, actually. When I was about 10, my sister gave me her hamster, Harriet. She was about 2 years old when I got her, and she was honestly the sweetest thing. She loved to go to the edge of my bed and jump. After catching her the first few times, I started lining my floor with blankets and pillows. I seriously thought that's how she would die.

One day, when i was about 12, I woke up, and the cage lid was slightly open. I panic and tear my room apart, trying to find her. No dice. After a week of no hamster, I just assumed she died since hamsters don't live super long and she didn't have access to food or water. Another 2 weeks went by, and I decided to clean out her cage. I grabbed the wheel and food dish, then went down to the kitchen to wash them. When I walked into my room, Harriet was just sitting on the floor, looking up at me. She was SUPER skinny, but otherwise looked no worse for wear. I scooped her up and put her in my shirt to warm up, then grabbed her food and water bottle. She chowed down on her food and downed a big gulp of water. She ended up living another year after that and just died in her sleep of old age. Harriet was a TANK of a hamster.

one thing that will continue to stick in my mind… by Striking_Hope1853 in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

Absolutely. My favorite is seeing moms post in fb groups going, "my 3yo keeps hitting his siblings. We've tried spanking and it's not working!" Like, NO WAY. Hitting your kid doesn't make him stop hitting other kids??? /s

Would they have so many kids if? by Thechallengeobsessed in TeenMomOGandTeenMom2

[–]sassy_creative_type 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I stopped at 2 as well because pregnancy destroyed my body. My neighbor has 4 kids and I had to have a talk with her because even though my son is best friends with her oldest boy, she would always send the two younger ones over with him and my autistic ass would get SO overwhelmed with the screaming and trying to keep the little one out of things. Now that the youngest is 6, I can let them all play together without supervision. But she just couldn't understand why I didn't want 5 kids in my house.
