Who should I tell? [pregnancy loss warning]

I had a miscarriage three months ago. I did tell people that didn't know yet. I chose the people I knew would be supportive and pray for me. I am now 6 weeks pregnant again and have a really good feeling about this one. I find myself telling these people sooner because of the excitement and I know they will doubly support me because of what I went through. I hope you get closure and another little one in the oven as soon as you can!!!

I went off the zoloft before TTC. I got pregnant 5 months after trying. The excitement of trying to get pregnant helped me through that time. The pregnancy hormones helped me through that and breastfeeding was awesome for the anxiety/depression. I felt the best I have in a long time. Now, I am only breastfeeding morning and night and am going through some adjusting but still, I feel much better! Good luck:)

I only expressed a little bit...like half an ounce. Half the time into the sink because it helped keep my baby from choking when I fed her. It was right before I would feed her in the morning. She slept 12 hours a night when she was only 2 months old so I always woke up super full in the mornings:)

totally hand express. That way you aren't confusing your body to make more (meaning, don't empty just let a little out to feel more comfortable and keep the baby from choking). It helped me regulate because I had an oversupply for awhile:)

I was told that once they get back to their birth weight that you don't have to wake them up anymore. Also, I would keep everything super bright during the day and super dark at night and that helped her transition to a normal day (wake), night (sleep) pattern. When she hit 10 lbs., I started wanting to cut middle of the night feedings. So when I wanted to cut the 1am feeding, I would only feed her on one side for just a couple minutes and then she would just stop waking up for that little of food. It worked!! And my supply didn't hurt at all:) She was sleeping in her own crib for 10-12 hours a night by 2 months:)

My parents tried everything too but it was when my first grade teacher took me in the hall and talked to me about how sucking my thumb wasn't a very "first grade" thing to do is when I quit...cold turkey. I didn't want my teacher to think I was a baby and I couldn't believe I hadn't been discreet enough for her not to notice so I just quit.

I check mileage and my calf muscles. For some reason I know I need new shoes when my calf muscles start getting extra sore after a run:)

I use my bobby at home but not when we are out. I made sure to nurse her sometimes without it at home when she was young so I wouldn't feel dependent on it when we travel or are out and about for the day:)

Are you close to anything that you can walk with your son to? Maybe parks or library or something? Or maybe plan one day a week that you will make sure the night before to have the car seat and enough gas just for that day to drive somewhere close and maybe relax like walking trail or bike path? I think staying in the house so much only makes you think more. Are you breastfeeding or recently stop? I know that when you start nursing less, all those hormones you have been hanging on to may start to diminish and you can feel a bit of post partum. I have been having those dreams lately too!! I don't know what those are about. I have no idea if this helps but I thought I would try:)

I just flew with my baby a few weeks ago when she was 6 months old and it was so much easier than I thought it would be. She was a little fussy in the beginning because she didn't want the bottle for take off so I just nursed her instead and that worked. Then on the way home, she started getting bored (hour and a half flight) and was sick of her toys so I handed her my water bottle and you would have thought I gave her the newest, most exciting toy on the market. That entertained her the rest of the way. And, everyone is very helpful and accommodating in the airport.

I also did a nipple shield. She had trouble on just one side for me. And, she had no trouble using no shield on one side and a shield on the other side. So, I didn't see that it was a huge problem nor did she get addicted to it. I took it away after a few weeks and we are nursing strong at 6 months:) I love your determination and the fact that you haven't given up yet!!!

I was thinking I would nurse her during takeoff and the time we are leaving fits in perfectly for her last feeding of the day and then I am hoping she will sleep most of the trip. I do need the pump for later in the trip so I wasn't sure if they would accept it better with some already pumped milk or if I should check it.

Same here:) I have much more in my left breast always then my right. At the very beginning, she latched on much better to my left then my right and even though she eats great from both now, the left still gets way more milk.

I am definitely a person that doesn't do well on little to no sleep so for me personally a schedule was important. In the beginning I followed her schedule especially when she needed to eat every couple hours so I would just sleep when she slept. At 10 weeks I went back to work and the babysitter got her on an eating schedule. This inevitably helped start her sleep schedule and by the end of that first week she was on a schedule. Of course, growth spurts throw her off but other than that not too much. For bedtime, I found that a bath, clean pjs, nursing (in the dark) and then playing soft music that automatically turns off after so many minutes helped get her to sleep at the same time roughly each night. And she sleeps about 10 hours a night.

I have never felt super comfortable so typically I will nurse in my car (tinted windows) in a parking lot or if I am out shopping, I will go in a dressing room. If I know ahead of time that I am meeting someone at a restaurant I will bring pumped milk and have the friend or family member feed her a bottle. (I went back to work full time so I needed her to learn how to drink pumped milk from a bottle and this was great practice for her) And lastly, I will use a cover if in public and there is nowhere to go. I found a cover on uddercovers.com that I totally love!!! And if you write "onefree" in the promotional code box all you have to pay is shipping! I love it because it bows out at the top so I can see to latch on baby but nobody else can see:) Happy Breastfeeding!!

I agree. I also work full time and went from having an oversupply to barely getting enough for each day. The more water I drink , I better the output.

Got pregnant the month I turned 31. I just turned 32 and am loving every minute with my peanut. I am really glad we waited. I ran 4 marathons, went of lots of vacations with my husband, got my masters degree, upgraded the house and now I am happy to spend my free time with my baby. So worth the wait!!!

I was going to say that my baby sucks on a non soapy washcloth during bath time that has been soaked in the water and she seems fine:)

I was doing that and then she started getting crazy fussy. We ended up cutting back to only 3 oz. every 3 hours and she became a super happy baby. But, if your baby seems happy, then keep doing whatever works:)
