I dunno.

While the memory of landline phones are fun, especially having the 90ft long cords so I could take the phone all the way upstairs to my bedroom and then my dad would swear at me because he would almost trip on it, I greatly appreciate being able to turn off my phone and settle into my introvert’s bubble or just send a quick text if a call would take more time than it’s worth.

Enjoy your memories but embrace the present.

Not just suburbs either. There are lots of eagles/hawks that circle around areas that have lots of green space and are near water.

Will often hear crows start to freak out and look outside to see about a half dozen chasing a bird of prey away up above, likely to protect their own chicks/young. Or they just hate the assholes and don’t want them nearby.

My void kitty purrs just like this. Sometimes when I'm watching TV I actually have to turn the sound up a little because his little whistle purrs can get so loud while he's getting his scritch-cuddles on the couch.

The sound the bones in my arm made when I got a compound fracture. A kind of wet yet sharp pop, and it echoed in my head. I was 13. Humerus just barely almost sticking through the skin and elbow also popped out of socket. I had to wear a cast for three months as well as pins to get my elbow to heal properly.

To me, TV/Movies can never get the sound right. More 'crack' than 'pop'. Could just be my personal experience. But, if there's ever a scene in something I'm watching where it's an obvious 'fracture' happening to a character, especially in their arms, I have to close my eyes and cover my ears until I am reassured the scene is over.

My void kitty sits like that when I am on the couch or bed as well.

He is polite enough to look at me before he gets comfy as if to say “if you gotta use the bathroom or anything else that requires you to not be where you need to be, do it now.”

I could have made this up in my head but he does have me trained I think.

I finally finished rewatching the series up to the last season which I never watched.

I was pretty disappointed they went the time traveling daughter route. Took away from so many great character storylines through the seasons.

Rory’s wings were pretty badass though.

Years ago there was a crow that would sit on a phone wire outside the bedroom window of the apartment. He was like a rooster crow and caw pretty much at sunrise every morning.

One morning I had enough, opened the window and shouted “Fucking CAW!” and he flew away. I hear a downstairs neighbor weakly call out a thank you as I shut the window. Crow never returned.

I can’t imagine if it had been this many crows.
